did anybody see the video of that father infront of the camera deeply saddened about his child dying during the shooting........... but before he got on camera, he is smiling and all cheerful before the camera turned to him, and like he switch, he went into acting mode......... really weird

He didn't switch into acting mode. He was put in front of a camera and told to talk about his daughter being slaughtered.

Being there and realizing, "Oh ****, I really have to talk about my daughter being slaughtered..." I'm sure will do that to you.

But, you know, you and the video's creator are experts in human grieving.

My girlfriend brought that up today and how it was weird. I told her that people grieve in different ways. Some people might be in shock, and just letting themselves act like nothing is wrong. I'd bet many of those people went home and crashed, but some people are better at handling things than others, and sometimes some of us just don't get that emotional in public, no matter what the situation.

Some people cry and get over it. I wouldn't, hell no, i'd probably be gone for days, but some people go home, get with their family, cry it out, and its done. It isn't over, the hurt will never go away, but some people can in fact move on like that. Some take time, some just know they have to go on, and in the case of the father people keep talking about, is it not possible the mother is in hysterics, and the father knows he has to keep some sanity to keep going. Maybe laughign and whatnot wasn't appropriate, but if it keeps him from losing his s**t, then I can udnerstand it.

Also, if this was some conspiracy, surely the government could get better actors if that was the case.

No, I saw the video. And I saw the hilarious conspiracy theory one that's being sent around Facebook. I just didn't buy into it, nor the attempt to say that this man's daughter wasn't even dead, and was in a picture with Obama after the massacre (which again, is B.S.).

And we here are able to logically think threw some of these things...it is just too weird that so many feel the need to prove call this a hoax, and then put this stuff out to prove it. Those people need to be checked out...I think they have some mental problems. It is just sad that people have to think that way...

My coworker and I discussed this today. I was completely shocked in that she believes so strongly that it's a government cover-up. About how there were crisis actors being interviewed at the scene, the guy's daughter not really being dead, or that the kids were reading from cue cards and in scripted interviews. It's like those kids went through hell and we're calling them liars now? They're kids for crying out loud, how do you expect them to describe some sick twisted scene that occurred while they were probably locked in a classroom or closet?

Anyone else seeing the comparison of James Holmes' attorney next to Laura Phelps, the mother of a Sandy Hook shooting victim? It's claiming they're the same person. I have a few friends who believe in this conspiracy, and I completely tore the picture apart, and one just brushed me off like it was no big deal.

It is hilarious the length that these people are going to to prove their points.

We're ALREADY seeing plenty of that in Sandy Hook, as at the scene of ANY disaster/tragedy that's ever happened in human history, and there's already been reports of police having to shut down con artists and liars who are taking advantage of people's emotions over Sandy Hook. Yeah, there are more than a couple stories out there reported by the media that are particularly odd now after all the facts were released and it's fueling some of these conspiracy theorists.. One story from the Newtown Bee after this incident happened quoted the principal who actually was killed that day. There is a video out there showing a reporter saying she had spoken to a school nurse who mentioned how she knew Lanza's mother as being a teacher there. We know now she wasn't.

I remember some relatives coming into town the day my mom died, one of them kept telling jokes, getting my to laugh throughout the day. It was great, it was a distraction, I craved those distractions at that time in my life because whenever I was confronted with what actually happened it was almost too much to bear. When I got married last year, over 10 years after my mom died, I made a toast to honor those family members who weren't there, my mom being the main focus and had tears running down my face, when moments before I had a big smile on my face. Emotions can change real quick, especially if you have to talk about it, when you have to face something horrible head on.
