Scream 4!!!!!

And so far? Williamson hasn't made a single mistake on any of his projects yet. Everything he's done on every show and movie he's written has just led to a better result.

In fact take him away from them and that's when they falter or reduce in quality. Hellllooooooooo, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream 3.

Look I love Sidney, and I love Neve Campbell, but she's not as important to this series as Kevin Williamson.

Agreed. I can't imagine Scream without Sid. She is to Ghostface, what Laurie Strode was to Michael Myers.
Agreed. However, the main character usually doesn't survive forever. Laurie was killed in Halloween Ressurection, Jamie Loyd was killed in Halloween 6, Nancy was killed in a Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, etc.

Tommy Jarvis was never killed though, so it could work both ways, I guess.

Killing off Sid would be a fatal mistake in my opinion, no way should she die. I'll pretend Scream 4 never happened if she did.

This day has made me feel like April 15th, 16th and 17th will be alot of people *****ing about Scream 4 because Sid dies.

I kinda want Dewey to die, and I kind of don't. I mean, in horror movies, the majority of the time, law enforcement is killed, and I'd like it if the movie didn't follow that stereotype.
However, Dewey has always annoyed me in the movies; not to the point of hating him and wanting him to die a gruesome death; more of just let him go away already.

Also, I wonder if they're going to reference Patrick Dempsey's character in this one. I can't remember if it's been mentioned yet.

Doesn't the trailer make it clear that Gale is a goner? They cut literally right before her stabbing...she was not going to escape that.

It shows her about to get stabbed but that doesn't mean she dies. Also Dewey is watching (via monitor) so chances are he'll chase off the killer.

If I had to guess I'd say Sid lives but this is the last time we see her. Dewey lives and is around throughout the series. Gale dies in this one or Scream 5.

Dewey seems like the character that will never leave Woodsboro. I have a feeling they will keep him around the rest of the series . I'm not saying that out of love for the character, I just think they'll want to hold on to someone and he's the most accessible. Although the divorce with Arquette and Cox could spill into this with one of them not wanting to do these films anymore.

Demsey's character seems to be ignored but I hope there is some mention in the film .

Cox is the most famous of the cast in general still. If they wanted to go that route.

To tell u the truth I woudn't be totally upset if Sidney died. Lets go back through the years in Horror.

Nancy in Nightmare in Elm Street died in part 3 true they brought her back for New Nightmare but she was only in 3 movies in the series. Laurie from Halloween series died in Halloween 8 and fully she also was in 3 movies in the whole series. Well 4 if u count here cameo role at the begining of halloween 8.

Sidney has been through 3 Scream movies right now the only person that comes to mind that has been the center point of all 4 movies as far as Horror Moves goes is probably Ripley from the Alien series.

So really it wouldn't surprise me if they kill her off and I don't think i will destroy the series like it did Halloween. If this is the start of the New trilogy I could see Sidney dieing at Scream 6 if it gets that far. With having one of the orginal 3 dieing in the 3 new movies.

Sidney successfully fought off Billy, Stu, Mickey, Mrs. Loomis, and Roman. (The fight with Roman was very physical and brutal.) Are we really supposed to believe that she couldn't fight off (presumably) some high school punk this time around?

Well I didn't say she would die I just think it wouldn't surprise me if she does. IF Sidney Dies I think it will be at the end of this new Trilogy.

She kicked Mickey's ass, too.

Sid: "You're forgetting one thing about Billy Loomis"
Mickey: "What's that?"
Sid: "I f**king killed him!!!"

WHAM!!!

I think if Sidney died it wouldn't be a fact of ''not being able to fend off someone", because from what I hear she automatically kicks into survivor mode in this once **** hits the fan, if she did die I see her doing it in a sacrificial way, being a hero.

Sidney's pretty much one of the most selfless horror heroines ever so it fits perfectly for her.

Sidney is just a badass. I love how she has never backed down and gives it right back to the killer.

Yeah, even in the first film she was able to stand up to the killers. Even in the first act when she didn't know who it was, she called the bluff and stepped outside. She's probably my favorite protagonist in a horror film. That and she's sexy as hell.

Been staying away from this thread because of the spoilers. I know I may sound like a broken record, but even I don't like to get in the middle of theories. I don't want any ideas or theories going in, because I"m afraid people could be right.

I have strongly encouraged everyone to keep spoilers in spoiler tags. Theories are one thing, but actual plot spoilers should not be posted openly. I don't want to be spoiled either.

I've given into the spoilers. I know who the killer or killers are. But it doesn't ruin it for me. I'm a spoiler ****e :p

I'm trying REALLY hard to avoid spoilers about the killer or killers. One of the best things about the Scream movies is the killer reveal.

I'm tempted to read the spoilers but I'm resisting. I don't want a single thing spoiled for me going into this.

It's easy for me.

Yeah, the one thing I enjoy about these films is trying to figure out who the killer or killers are. And it's done brilliantly. Even in the past three (especially the first two) watching them again, I still get alot out of it. You see the layers and it's brilliant. And I still anxiously await for the reveal. Because it's so much damn fun how they do it.

Mickey's reveal with his normal voice in the mask and the classic mask pull off is my favorite. Add to the fact I didn't see him coming at all. I completely forgot about him so I didn't even recognize the voice in the mask.

"Where is he?"

"Right here. You're fast, Sid. I wouldn't do that if I were you. You really want to trust your boyfriend? Don't you know when history repeats itself? Hmm, Sid?"

I really appreciate it man. :woot:

Still, I'm very anal about spoilers. The best experience is when you see it for the first time when you have no what's going to happen. It goes for these films especially.

Mrs Loomis is still the most surprising, and awesome killer reveal for me. I mean Billy's mother being the mastermind behind it. And played by Jackie from Roseanne.

I loved it.

I didn't know she was Billy's mother, but I did know she was the killer from catching the end of the movie so many years ago. When I watched it again years later all I remembered was a crazy middle aged woman in a white suit and Leiv Schreiber. So upon watching it again, I thought Cotton was one of the killers. So Mickey caught me off guard the most.
