I think this sequel is totally unnecessary. I mean, who the hell is gonna be the killer in this one? What's gonna be their motivation? Who the hell is left who'll want Sydney dead?

In the first movie it was her psycho boyfriend, pissed that Sydney's mom broke up his parents. In the second it was her psycho boyfriend's psycho mom, pissed that Sydney killed her son in the first movie. In the third movie it was Sydney's psycho half brother, pissed that their mother rejected him. What's left?

I pretty much expected this to happen, though, I never really knew for sure. However, I'm not sure if Sidney will survive a fifth Scream.

YET Maria asks a very typical ''Scream 5?" question that anyone involved with this film would probably get asked in an interview." and Neve answers the question just like anyone would. She states that she can't say because it'd give away what happens in this one. Which to me reads as if she's iffy as to even how Sid could return again.

Of course you can read the interview the other way too. But this really doesn't give away whether Sid lives or dies.

I don't want a Scream television series, you guys are nuts. I might play the video game but I'm not really a fan of games that play out the events of the film (except GB) . Besides there's not much to do in a game like that besides run from the killer. They made a game about SAW , how was that?

David and Courtney look so cute together in that video. I really hope they can get over their drama and stay together. You can see how genuine they look with each other.

I hope so but he needs to get himself cleaned up if he has a drinking problem.

If I mentioned watching the screening and seen her die I wouldn't then ask that question unless it was to throw everyone. I think it's a good indication Sid lives but I wasn't expecting her to die anway. So no biggie but personally I think Maria botched the interview

Simple. Somebody else with an axe to grind with someone else totally unrelated to Sid, but related just enough as a distant cousin to pull Sid back in...as in Sid's cousin who is actually in the movie! Eureka!

Sid's cousin pissed somebody off. Somebody with an unhealthy obsession with movies. Said would-be killer(s) decides that the best way for his/her revenge is to go after her through her cousin/semi-auntie Sid. Plus, those murders are now famous lexicon around the area. Add on top said killer(s) hate how horror films in the last years have collapsed into torture porn. "He" says on the phone, "Aren't you sick of seeing peoples' toes get cut off and eye burned out with blow torches? Don't worry I'm here to go back to basics and will just gut you with a knife like your **** of a mother/wife/sister/niece/daughter/grandmother/bff/Justin Bieber."

Voila! A motive is born.

It will probably be something like that.

She asked Courteney and David the same question, and while the Hayden Panettiere video wouldn't work for me, I imagine she asked her the question as well. Seems like a pretty standard question, but I could see why people might assume that it means Sidney will live. I personally never thought Sidney was going to die though anyway.

Did anyone else read the Scream retrospective in the newest issue of Horrorhound magazine out now? It's a pretty good (if somewhat short) retrospective over the first three movies and the impact each has had, along with the vast amounts of merchandise the series has spawned (some of which is pretty amusing, including JiffyPop popcorn with the first movie's cover on the lid and a Ghostface drink cooler). The section detailing the history of the mask is also very interesting. It's well worth a read if you're a Scream fan.

Fair enough guys , I just saw foreshadowing and where WorthyStevens was coming from but at first I had the same opinion as you ..either way doesn't matter..


Scream trilogy on blu tommorow.. can't wait . I'm finding mixed reviews but I think the transfers look good.

Yeah, I wanna get the Blu-ray versions. But I've heard the same thing about the mixed reviews. I guess they just got the rights to make them on Blu. And that they didn't really restore much. But I'll still check 'em out.
