Scream 4!!!!!

We should start a poll on who the killer(s) are, that would be fun. The obvious fan choice would be Rory Culkin, but that's TOO obvious. I'm going with Emma Roberts' character, Sidney's cousin. Makes the most sense to me.

So, who here watched the inside story of scream last night? It was fantastic!

I watched it. Loved it.

I just finished production on my first feature and it's refreshing to know that it's not just because I was an amateur film maker that I had so many production problems. Mostly - just like the school. I have what many would be consider a script in poor taste and lost locations because of it. Not to mention the Director of Photography problems.

I just never knew there were so many problems they ran into in the midst of making this movie made. They gambled on EVERY. SINGLE. ASPECT. of this movie. From the writer, the script, getting Wes, Drew changing her mind on the role, losing the school, firing the D.P., the MPAA, the title, the release date - etc.

Ca-razy.

I DVR'd it so I can't wait to watch it again. Wish they had saved some room for Scream 2 and 3 a bit more tho instead of the small little "oh and they made sequels" part too.

PS: Oriole, I'm exhausted on that debate and not really feel the need to re-hash the same argument so unless you have some kind of new evidence to bring up then I'm not gonna bother getting into it with you.

Nice idea.

The dialogue in the movie seems like it just might be evidence enough lol. But either way jow, agreed on it being an exhausted topic. As I stated before I know I'm late.

In other news I'm pretty upset I missed this inside story of scream. Hopefully it will pop up on youtube or something. It sounds awesome. I've been watching the scream movies again but with the directors commentary. Apparently Matthew Lillard was in Scream 2 for a split second. During the party when Mickey and Randy are talking about The Empire Strikes Back Wes says something about how Matt was in the backround walking by with white, or really blonde hair. And that he was there because him and Neve were dating. Lucky ****.

Seems psosible, but I think it's the kid Rory Culkin is playing. There's just something about him.

What would be a motive in Scream 4 that would really piss you off?

If Sidney finally went mental and developed split personalities of all the killers who'd tried to kill her in the previous three films. It'd be an interesting twist, but I would not care for that an iota.

That actually sounds cool. She'd be all psycho!

That sort of idea has been done a few times, Hide and Seek with deniro comes to mind, and it felt like a cop out.

The split personality thing has, for sure, but not the idea of a victim having split personalities based on previous installment's killers. The closest is probably the end of the early Friday the 13ths, but it was never followed up from what I can remember. If done correctly, it could be a pretty neat thing, but like I said, I don't favor the idea much.

It was on the Bio channel Marx.

Well... Randy does say in Scream 1 that if it were scary movie he'd be the prime suspect.

And now since the unexpected is cliche, the expected does have a chance to being the killer. I think Charlie is a contender. I would say Kirby but she seems legit scared for her life on the phone listing the remakes. Robby is also a contender.

"Not to implicate him." mirrors "Nobody said YOU did." from Scream to me.

Again tho - my main gut tells me Mary Shelton.

Though, talking about this and all, I guess I wonder if I'm familiar enough with modern horror films to fully enjoy this film to the fullest. I know you don't have to know the rules and stuff to like them or anything, but it adds a level of depth to them that elevates them for me.

What about those without the BIO Channel, Jow?

Interesting... Ehren Kruger and Wes Craven did some rewrites on Williamson's script (explains why Kruger gets an "executive producer" credit). But at least Williamson did a complete script and had all the framework laid out.

Should be very interesting to see how this film plays out...

Someone should try to record the Inside Story and try to upload it on YouTube. I don't have cable.

Ok I have to mention the Ehren kruger rewrites. First I have always found it hilarious that a man named KRUGER helped Wes Craven on Scream 3 (and a little on Scream 4). I mean...............Irony at it's best!

Second, During the reshoots, an interviewer asked Wes if anything was going to be changed for the ending. Wes said "No! The ending is nuts! We're keeping that just the way it is!".

Take into account I've read some of the sides from the film when they were auditioning actors.

After watching the movie, I honestly cannot tell you what Ehren Kruger rewrote. Maybe there was one scene that seemed a little corny and I thought to myself "That must be an Ehren rewrite LOL!" but I guess I'll never really know. From the sides I've read and the movie as a whole, not to mention the overall theme and statement the film makes, I would have to say the movie is 90% Kevin Williamson.

I mean, from the sides I noticed a few changes, but there were location changes and the dialogue and everything else was the eact same still. So who knows?

I do believe that whatever the reveal or finale was going to be, was exactly what Kevin had envisioned from the beginning and since that is the make it or break it of Scream 4, I don't think that would have ever changed. Which I like :)

after reading that recent article about everyone second guessing themselves and yet another creativity battle with the weinsteins.... my doubts have been solidified, this movie will be a disaster.

Funny cuz Scream 1 has numerous battles with the Weinsteins and we all know that was a disaster.

[\sarcasm]

But thanks for playing.

Kruger is cursed. Everything he touches goes to hell. (*cough*transformers 2*cough*)

I'm gonna assume he's not WGA.

Also - those w/o the BIO channel are human centipede out of luck till it leaks to the net or comes out on DVD.

Awesome - Thanks for the info. I was disappointed that I missed the original showing. I've seen some of the other docs on the Bio channel (Jaws, Silence of the Lambs) and they are usually pretty cool.

Um hello? I saw the film already. It's the best Scream since the first. End of story.
