Scream 4!!!!!

As much as I see Dewey and Sid as being 'Laurie and Dr. Loomis', I really think Gale and Sidney should be untouchable.

I think Gale is my favorite character for the sheer fact in a situation like this. There'd be a person like her. Someone who would be in it for herself and for the money. Who would write a book, that book would be made into a movie. She makes the movies feel a little more realistic.

If Sidney dies then Scream would have made a mistake from which it'd never be able to recover from.

I feel like Sidney could die. I'd be sad and I'd be okay with continuing Scream 5 with whoever was left. Sidney while amazing as she is. I think you can kill her off. Send her off really powerfully (which is a failure of all the other major heros who have died's death) and move on to Jill or whoever would become the lead.

I feel like Jill or whoever was the new lead would never be the ''target" as long as Sid was around. Even if she was off screen.

I like Sidney but it would be just weird to have this happen to her six times or at least have the motive be focused on her. I think they need to create a new group of survivors to follow..which I'm assuming is what they'll do.

I think Sidney could be like the Sam Loomis or Tommy Jarvis of the later set of Scream films, perhaps Captain Ahab to whoever the new Ghostfaces would be. The new Ghostfaces would be after Jill and her friends, but Sidney could be a consultant and expert of sorts on handling Ghostface and the MO behind the mantra. I think that'd be a good way to have Sidney's character stick around in the later films, while also developing the new generation.

Even then a Ghostface is going to want to go after SIDNEY. It'd never be about Jill. Because Sidney's alive. And when Sidney's alive, any Ghostface is going to want to be the Ghostface that took out THE Sidney Prescott.

That is true, but you also never know what's going on with whoever is behind the mask at the time. A different Ghostface may have a different motive or victim in mind, and I think that would be feasible for a next-generation Ghostface Killer.

I'd see Dewey in that type of role. Sid's 'victim royalty' as one of the characters put it. If she's around she'll wind up center stage unless they kill her character. Also she's like the Ripley of these films

That's what i'm hoping. I think this one will focus heavily on Sid because they're trying to bring it back but if 5 and 6 are focused on Sid I don't think i'd enjoy it .

^^ I woudln't say that I wouldn't enjoy it, but I just don't see Sid's story expanding that far.

It's highly possible I'd enjoy Scream 5 either way. I just think they'd REALLY be pushing it even more beyond the realm of believability after Billy, Stu, Mickey, Mrs. Loomis, Roman, the killer or killers in Scream 4. Then the killers in 5 and 6 trying to kill her.

Assuming there's 2 killers in Scream 4, 5, and 6 and Sid lives through all of them. That'd be 11 different people who tried to kill Sidney Prescott. And just...I'd rather not.

I wouldn't enjoy future Scream films if Sidney wasn't back. It just wouldn't be the same without her and not in a good way, IMO.

^^ Oh, I agree, but how many times can someone survive? Though, as I said, I guesss with Scream it makes sense because it's set in the real world.

I am shocked that this hasn't yet succumb to the reboot mania going around.

When is the premier of this in Hollywood?

Well here's hoping it gets good reviews. I won't waste my time or money if this gets terrible reviews like every movie Wes Craven has released in the past decade.

I hope it can capture the terror that the first one had before becoming a parody of itself beginning in Scream 2 and definitely in Scream 3.

I think the promo campaign that you really don't know who will die is good. I like movies that you can't figure out 20 minutes in who will die and who will live.

Personally, I found My Soul To Take to be underrated, though not fantastic. It gets a little too much negativity, IMO.

She's a fighter.

But at some point, Sid needs to stop being the victim and start being more aggressive.

Idc if she lives through 20 movies, but at some point, anyone in this situation would be like "enough is enough" and just like put themselves in position for the killer to come after them and set a trap. Not like home alone type stuff, but just...idk.

They never go for her first. But she knows they want her. She's the killer's trophy.

Also - whomever eventually gets their blade into Sid needs to damn well earn it. Whoever the killer is, they better be awesome.

She's a fighter.

I did love that scene in Scream 2, with David Warner who was playing her drama teacher, and was making a comparison to her and Cassandra.

Warner: "Cassandra is one of the great tragic figures of literature. She saw it all coming. The wars. The murder. The madness. She knew she was cursed. It was her fate and she embraced it. The battle for the soul is fought in the forum of art. You're a fighter, Sid. That's why you're here. That's why this your major"
Sid: "Yeah, I'm a fighter"
Warner: "I didn't hear that"
Sid: "I'm a fighter"
Warner: "I don't believe you. I don't"
Sid: "I'm a fighter"
