Gorilla Grodd and his super secret ape alliance replace Gotham's entire human population with gorillas. Batman teams with Detective Chimp, B'Wana Beast and Vixen to thwart the mad Grodd's plans.
Airing: April 16

More Detective Chimp? Yes, please. Also, this thing is practically screaming for an Animal Man cameo.

why is it grodd always wants to turn people into apes.

is he lonely?

also this wont be able to compare to the preceding ep

I wish they would have used an old Bat-Villian called, Gorilla Boss.
Going to be COOL to see Detective Chimp and B'Wana Beast again.

i want detective chimp to hang out with sherlock

That might be possible. The synopsis did mention a "super secret ape alliance".

signalman, I owe you money, because Todd Casey at Comic Continuum, the episodes writer, confirmed that Grodd, Monsieur Mallah and Gorilla Boss are all confirmed to appear!

I love this show.

This picture sums up my thoughts on the episode. It was outrageous and quite the James Bond episode. :D Detective Chim was downright pimpin and Vixen's design was purrffect! Gorilla Grodd's obsession with Batman's demise is actually a really cool move with the show.

Spectre teaser was downright dark, further giving the slap to the haters who think Brave and Bold isn't dark whatsoever.

9/10 - This deserves a 9 instead of 8.5 simply because of the beatiful ending. Gave me a smile.

I thought the main story was a DUD, Plot-wise. Really didn't work for me.
I did enjoy seeing Detective Chimp and B'Wana Beast again.
Vixen was handle well from a power point but I didn't care for her romance with B'Wana.
Glad to see The Gorilla Boss of Gotham City and Killer Moth.
I give it a luke-warm 'C'.

The opener on the other hand was kicking. Solid 'A'.
The Spectre delivering his brand of Justice 1970's style was COOL!!!

grodd is an exile from gorilla city he wants to turn the human race into gorrillas to make gorrilla city redundant as revenge

Spectre turning Dr. Milo into to cheese, and subsequently getting eaten by rats = Nightmare fuel.

no prof.milowas in dc comics before BTAS not a made for tv character like kodai ken the ninja

I loved the Planet of the Apes feel when they returned to Gotham.

I liked the Opening with Batman, Spectre, and Milo.
Liked seeing Vixen, Killer Moth, and Gorilla Boss. I wasn't too much on the Bwana/Vixen romance thing, but the overall episode was meh. It was okay, but if just wasn't a favorate

What a giant leap backward! I'm okay with seeing B'wana Beast again but the emo thing and the romance with Vixen... it just felt forced and contrived. With all due respect to Detective Chimp fans, I don't feel that he's main story material. The writers used him as a crutch for comic relief/sight gags when they're fully capable of writing witty banter. Not everything is automatically funnier just because a "monkey" is doing it. Also, that crudely delivered innuendo of Chimp's was a bit much. (suggested bestiality in a kid's show... really, WB?) Vixen was fun but why is Cree Summer always the go-to voice actress for just about every African-American female character in animation? I would have preferred Gina Torres (reprising the role from JLU).
Had it not been for the Spectre in the teaser, Fall of the Blue Beetle would have been replaced as my least favorite episode.

Nice to go back to the more fun adventurous side of the series after the last episode which was great in itself. There were so many fun moments in this episode that I lost count. Hey MisterJ whatever happened to the polls in the episode threads? I wanted to give this one a solid 8 but there's no poll here.

Re Prof Milo, yah as 3d man says he was a stalwart batman character in the books, and his 1st appearance in BTAs was a direct faithful adaptation of a Neal Adams classic from '74, 'Moon of the wolf'.

I just saw this ep this morning, they showed it 10mins early though, so i missed the start, **************!
I really enjoyed it though, and loved the homage to the end of Burton's Planet of the Apes when Batman and the chimp were surrounded by ape cops, they even played music just like that ending as well.
