Series Finale Idea....

yea but if you change the first meeting between clark and lex it would drastically effect alot of other things that had happen as someone else has pointed out. Sure they had done some foul mistakes like superlana, the whole henrey/jimmy thing and what not. But there is still alot of good things they have done too.

because it doesn't do that. everything still happened. the point was that he grew up and become superman. instead of just him deciding one day that he would wear a suit and fly around, he really grew up, and mess everything up on the process.

back to the future still happens. just because everything is back to the way its' supposed to be doesn't mean the rest of the movie got crapped on?

we've seen it done more than the number of times we've seen clark fly...think about it.

and considering some of the crap decisions they have made, it's hardly an insult.

With every crap decision they've made, there were 5-6 great decisions.

If there's anything time travel interpreations have taught us, its that any change in the past can drastically alter the future for GOOD OR BAD. This is even prevalent in SV when he went back to save Lana only for Jonathan to die.

Going back and changing his initial meeting with Lex is not only illogical, but there's no telling of the reprecussions that will follow. Who's to say it wont end up worse than before? One could argue that having Clark as his friend postponed his eventual turn to evil.

Plus you have to think about Clark...he'll be returning to a world where Lois Lane is a complete stranger (from her POV not his), where Lex is (probably) still evil, where his father is still dead...one has to ask himself, is it really worth it?

You're proposing that Clark go back to beginning and alter the only world he's ever known...that would be one of the lamest cop-outs of a television series since that one with the autistic kid and the snow globe. :o
