Yes it did imply Cap wanted to move on from Peggy but he wanted to date ONE girl and that was Sharon. Nat made several suggestions, but it was Sharon who he asked. You don't need to be spoon fed the reason on why he likes her when it's obvious by the body language and scene i.e. he fancied her. This implies only that Cap wanted to move on from Peggy and date girls, we was never told why he liked her and how much. But in AoU Steve's comment to Benner about him being "the world's authority on waiting too long" and his advice not to wait and get together with Widow make it ineluctably clear, that he didn't apply this to his own relationship with Sharon after the whole year since they met and thought about Peggy instead. And you conveniently fogot how M&M said themselves, how Cap must think it's weird, that he attracted to her. Now tell me more about false reasons and biased opinons.
Again we have to wait until CW to see why he didn't call Sharon or maybe he did. Also if I were Cap my top priority would be to find Bucky and saving the world thru avenging like he's doing.
M&M did acknowledge the delicate nature of Staron and that they'll try to navigate it as best they can without freaking out the audience.
Of course they can't fit in 60+ years of comics material in three movies. Like you said you can't erase TWS and AoU. So the way TWS left off means Staron might happened and definitely more Sharon interacting with Cap. Cap's franchise IS seperate from The Avengers movies and M&M will have written all 3 Cap movies. You know what else was in the comics? Many other irrelevant stuff to the MCU now, like Nat+Bucky. You guys are fascinating in your blind devotion to comics, there all kind of trash happens like RS in Steve's body of Sharon killing Cap. You can make more excuses, but you can't erase the TWS, AoU and the fact, that Peggy's ghost will always hang over Staron.
Nat/Bucky?? This is a Cap/Rogers movie.
