How do you guys feel about Bruce Wayne seemingly doing the Justice League recruiting instead of Batman? This podcast at the 38:40 mark discusses the potential fun dynamic of Batman reaching out to the other members while in their superhero persona.

What do you guys think?

He's trying to recruit the JL, not antagonize them.

There are things Bruce Wayne are better at then Batman.

Plus, this is where we get to see Bruce using his businessman-like tactics.

Or Batman could show up on one of their "crime scenes", for lack of a better phrase, aid them during their mission and then discuss forming the League.

I dont think the metahumans would want to hear from a dude dressed as a bat with no powers about forming a team to defeat an enemy.

Its much smarter to go as Bruce,it builds trust.

If Bruce wants to keep his mission a secret, what's easier ?

Moving around the world as Bruce Wayne or as Batman ?

As Bruce Wayne, while using ninja tactics of Batman.

I'm not sure Aquaman and Cyborg have superhero personas yet nor does Flash stay around long enough to talk.

The odder thing is that its basically Bruce Wayne going "Hey, guy I've just met. I'm Batman". He's normally a lot more cautious with the secret ID.

Bruce may be recruiting the League, but I think we all know the one uniting it will be Superman.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

And Bruce/Diana probably already did their vetting before hand. They're recruiting these metas in particular because they're "good guys".

He should be recruiting them as Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, damnit.

Its certainly plausible, and was my own thought. It just feels weird.

I'm okay with either option. I think he's going as Bruce to maybe feel more relateable to the people he's recruiting? Perhaps it's less threatening as well.

it made sense for his approach with Barry to show up as Bruce

with someone like Flash you really have to catch him off guard or he could disappear in the blink of an eye

if he turned on the lights an Batman was standing there, who knows how he would have reacted (especial with this Barry being kinda recluse, probably a little paranoid)

seeing a random guy seating there is more disarming, as well as he would be less likely to use his powers in front of a normal looking person (not wanting to reveal himself) again paranoia

Really look at who they are vetting.

Aquaman - Who is he going to tell.

Cyborg - Well just look at him.

Barry - Needs friends.

Those chose some really isolated people.

Definitely this.

Its less intimidating that way. That a human being not a guy dressed in a scary bat costume is recruiting them. It makes them trust him. I mean that scene with Barry would just be....weird if it was Batman suited up just sitting in the chair waiting for him. lol

for that matter why is he doing the recruiting? sending Wonder Woman makes more sense

shirley, the lasso of truth would have been much easier/more effective in getting Barry to reveal who he really is... then throwing a knife at his face

I think it'd be better as Batman, though I actually really think it should be both Batman and Wonder Woman.

I'm gonna let you in on a little secret but keep it on the DL yo.

Bruce Wayne IS BATMAN!

You didn't hear that from me.

If anything, Wonder Woman should be doing the recruiting. Batman's only doing it because he's the cash cow, and possibly for dramatic purposes.

well we only see him manage to convince barry of joining. im guessing superman might be the guy to get aquaman to join and i think batman, WW and flash go to get cyborg. im just assuming that scene in the bunker is them getting him out of star labs.

Basing on what we learnt in the set report earlier, Wonder Woman seems to be the one who recruits Cyborg.
I think what convinced him to join is that people from Star Lab are kidnapped by the Parademons. He meets Batman and Flash for the first time on the rooftop with Gordon who probably gave them information about the aliens being in the tunnel. Then, the group goes there and Cyborg is able to talk for the first time to Batman.
I'm pretty sure that what we saw in the teaser is their first discussion and the first outing from a proto-Justice League.

Based on the ending of BvS, it would make sense for Bruce to want to do the recruiting, and to want want to do it as Bruce Wayne. The fact that he knows who these people actually are seems to be part of his recruiting method. And it's hard to picture that working if he isn't willing to be honest about who he is as well. It'd feel more like he was blackmailing them into joining the JL rather than trying to find some sort of mutual ground. The latter just makes more sense for what is supposed to be a renewed Bruce Wayne.
