awesome cool to hear those guys are back. Michael J. Bassett is a good director both Deathwatch and Solomon Kane had a trace of silent hill horror about them so its a good choice

ohh joy so they are going with the original cast, so the name change sticks and "harry" is pushed back to a background role.

seriously if they made 2 "Maria" would be looking for her husband who happens to look "james" all because he ran off with another woman

Original Silent Hill cast members Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger are back for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.

They'll join newcomers Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington.

Writer-director Michael J. Bassett said: "It wouldn't be the same without some of the original Silent Hill cast. Sean, Radha and Deborah's return will certainly thrill fans of the franchise and compliment Revelations stars Adelaide and Kit."

Shooting has already begun up in Canada with The Hills Have Eyes director of photography Maxime Alexandre who says, "With the most advanced technology available, in particular the lighter, smaller and more flexible 3D Red Epic, we are able to take audiences deeper in the world of Silent Hill than they ever dreamed possible. Devotees will finally be able to enter this realm along side of Heather, Vincent, Harry and Rose and experience the psychological horror and the fear of the unknown with them."

This movie is sounding really good. Even though the first one wasn't quite accurate and it missed a lot of the symbolism in the game, it was at least leaps and bounds more faithful to the source material than Paul WS Anderson's Resident Evil movie. As someone who was more of a Resident Evil kid than a Silent Hill one, I find myself a fair bit envious of Silent Hill in recent years. SH has had some rough patches recently but at least the games are still scary, and the movies don't completely dump all over the source material. And from a cinematic perspective, the SH movies are gorgeous while the RE movies look like kitschy shlock.

eclipse was by far better than the first two, my gf is the only real reason i saw them, but it still wasnt the best movie ever. tho its more mature themes and action are pretty cool. acting still sucks tho. but the girl from the 1st should return, i never played the games so im assuming her character just doesnt serve a purpose, even tho her step mom and real mom are returning. it would be nice to see her back and if this is set years later it would be cool to acknowledge shes gotten older.

Alright first day of filming here in my little town of Cambridge Ontario.

So I walk downtown to expect just a street to be set dressed for the film, and boy was I wrong. The entire downtown section was all set dressed to look like a deserted town. Like normal stores were boarded up and had different store signs. It was pretty sick.

Today they filmed a scene where they nailed a guy to this object that they used to burn witches, and there was ashes everywhere on the street!

They're doing the "witch burning" thing AGAIN? ****. Welp, there goes my entire hope for the movie. That was the worst part of the first movie. Why couldn't they stick to the cult storyline?

Okay, so they were really strict with photo taking and I could not get closer so these are my best! Tomorrow they are filming on a bridge in front of my apartment, so I'll get some good pics of that and what my town looks like.
