Horror Silent Hill

Hey, just being curious. How exactly did the first game end. And was it also all about fanatics?

Wikipedia is a hell of a site.

I'd understand if she simply got pummelled, but the thing is once she revealed that she's out of ammo she simply smiled and stood there. She didn't even raise a arm or anything that would indicate that she was at least trying to defend herself.

It's like she thought, "Oh 3 against 1, ah let's not even bother and get it over with".

If anything that just added to Cybil's badassness. She did what she had to do, then fends three miners and a crazy b**ch off with an empty gun. Shoots, the gun clicks, she smiles, and takes a beating.

I just can't believe that she lived after being beat with a 3 inch pipe like that. I mean come on, you beat her like that, then you burn her? Ouch. Great effect of having the skin peel away, I loved that.

All in all, I think these were some of the best deaths I've seen in a long while.

yeah... i finally got around to seeing this last night. great style, very creepy and disturbing, so-so acting, mediocre to downright bad dialogue... the ending was stupid, as were alot of the plot points.

although this was the second best videogame based movie i've ever seen, that really isn't saying much if you think about it.

i think the title of best videogame movie goes to Advent Children. if you have only seen the dubbed japanese version, i suggest you go buy or rent the english version. alot of the dialogue has been revised to make a much, much more cohesive story. not to mention the action is some of the sickest crap you're likely to see like, ever.

Well it is animated so it'll always look a lot cooler in that aspect.

Its animated. You have a lot more freedom.

I don't remember Cybill dyeing in the game. I could be wrong...

It depends on how you do things. You either have to kill her or cure her.

DID HE JUST RUIN IT FOR ME

Use the spoiler tag next time
like this

I'm not going to use spoiler tags for a game that came out for PS1. :o

Well that's a bit selfish for people who havent' played the game fully or seen the movie :o

Was 20million a big enough opening for this film to be successful?

It'll make it's budget back within a month, if it stays any longer, a seuqel is pretty much on the way...plus it still has to open in other countries like mine, Australia, so yeah...

And according to the official continuity of Silent Hill 3,
the ending where she died is the right one
.

I don't recall that. It's been a long time since I've played part 3 though. I just can't remember anything in 3 making a difference on whether she lived or not.

It's probobly that so they didn't have to explain what happened to her or anything.

My statement has zero to do with the film. It isn't that much like the game. As far as me being selfish about people not playing the game, it came out what? We gotta be creeping up on then years I guess. I know I should put that sort of stuff in spoiler tags, I just don't see the point after so long. :(

I understand, it's just I for one haven't played the game much...I've gone all over Silent Hill and it's completely cut off...I dunno what to do next...:(

Well, you can get some great recollections of what happened very specifically in the games across the internet. I'm sure you can even find the main points on Youtube or somewhere similar. If you never get to play them, I think it's worth it just to watch them at least.

Sean Bean does resemble James Sunderland in a interesting way. If they go with the sequel and they follow the Silent Hill II storyline, then one can and will see great results.

Personally it would be wonderful story and a great break-out role for Sean so he can show a lot more emotion, anger, and sadness when it comes to his wife in Silent Hill.

Then we can get a deeper meaning of Pyramid Head's origins and so forth.

An observation from someone at another forum:

Nisha Kay said:
Another thing that we noticed that drives us to believe that Mr. DeSilva is REALLY James Sunderland 2.0, is that he is very timid towards other men, but he's willing to raise his voice at and even get physical with women when he's mad. Also, the way he talks and his mannerisms remind me a lot of James.

If joo are a fan of SH2 and have seen the moofie give that a read. Or if you just want to read something hidden by spoiler bars go right ahead. It's not spoilerific, and what's underneath this line is probably worse.

She also went on to say how they should use the SHII storyline in a sequel where Sean Bean goes to search for answers and then Pyramid Head will play a bigger role and whatnot.
