I don't know about "cheap" but a little less expansive than that last one. Seems more intimate of a story for whatever reason.

Nah make up is the same although the technique and "tech" got vastly improved according to KNB. I mean this is what Rourke looks like now post-Sin City 2....

Wow. He's changed his face again.

Not that impressed with the trailer, will probably watch the movie for JGL.

Bad trailer. Hard to tell how the actual film will be. The effects look improved over the last one, that's for sure.

LOL

This movie doesn't come out until August, like Guardians of the Galaxy.

This is really just a teaser/announcement trailer to make the general audience aware. There'll be one more full trailer before release.

No cheaper than the first one from what I could tell.

Yeah, I think it may look more cartoony with the effects but I'm sure that's intended. Visuals look great imo.

Really impressed by that Nancy shot. :wow:

Not talking about the quality of the footage of itself, but the teaser's editing was choppy and frantic. I couldn't absorb anything.

I'll have to watch it again and pay closer attention.

Oh ok. I think it was meant to be like that just to give it some energy rather than it being sloppily put together. I could be well off base of course.

I think it was the cameras that Robert used this time around. The effects and styles are the same, but quality of the cameras show. Everything looks flat this time around. When you see JGL's closeup against the brick wall, it takes me out of the scene because my mind is telling me 'He's in front of green screen'.

I think for a teaser trailer it looked great but I agree the editing was a bit off, I can't wait for it.

Exactly. It was so bad I couldn't get a read on whether or not I actually liked what I was seeing.

I'm not sure why, but for some reason this trailer made me think more of The Spirit than Sin City.

And that's not a good thing.

Well there's a dude at a table with stacks of coins everywhere and I don't know who this guy is. Most likely he's bad. But that's it.

It's weird. It doesn't feel like Sin City. It feels like fan-made video OF Sin City.

Senator Roark from the first. Powers Boothe. Nancy is out for revenge from the looks of it.

For me, this trailer is Sin City, it feels like Sin City, but...yeah. I guess I feel what everyone else feels because even the first trailer to Sin City didn't dive into the stories in the film, but it did hint at what was going on (ex: "This clown's out of control. (we see Del Toro) I followed him here so he wouldn't hurt any of the girls" (one of the girls, Del Toro offers a ride, with a crazed look) "Us helpless little girls." (cue Miho with sword)). In this, we kinda figured out what we're seeing, but then again, we kinda don't know what we're looking at or what's going on. You know what I mean?

I really dig the first one but this looks worse visually, not sure this has to do with the fact that it's been shot on the Alexa, although obviously, digital cameras are far beyond what they had when they made the first one, I can't pinpoint what makes it look worse, the lighting? the CG? maybe it's not done? I don't know, looks funky for now.

I loved the first one. Took them long enough. I can't say this will be bad or good film just yet. I liked the new trailer.

This trailer does not excite me...The first one had me so hyped
