I don't think the Joker will ever learn batmans true identity, nor will dent, otherwise in number 3, they could just knock on his door and shoot him. I think its more feesible that dent could stand in front of the joker (in an I am spartacus fashion), claiming he was batsy to protect the real deal whoever it is, and dawes, this could result in him being scarred.
