Symbiote Spidy is the fourth villian, I don' know why it took me this long to figure it out.

I'm gonna sound dumb but how is Symbiote pronounced? :O

I say sim be it:O

sim bee ott

I know this because I watch the discovery channel a lot, and I have heard the words symbiotic relationship a lot. Symbiote isn't actually a real word used in nature. It was invented for the comic book. A symbiotic relationship is two organisms who live off each other in a way that is mutually beneficial to both of them. So the symbiote in the spider-man comic book actually isn't a symbiote at all, by definition. It's actually the exact opposite. It's a parasite, since it harms the host which it lives off.

But I don't remember when they first started calling it that. Perhaps it was at first when nobody knew it was going to harm him, and it really did appear to be a symbiote since it was helping spider-man at first.

I think Sam was lying when he said he disliked Venom, like he said he would never use Doc Ock, yet magically he appeared in the next film.

I just read something from Comic-con where he talks about disliking Venom, but that he had very good story-telling potential and very good relevence thematically to Peter for Spidey 3. That's why I'm thinking Lizard for Spidey 4, because he'll have the same relevence.

Wow, I know this is old but I just joined yesterday, feel free to call me a noob, but where did Boom get that pic of Lizard from the Spidey 2 game(pg.11)? Is it real? Please post a bigger pic of it. Wow. I hope that works it way into the movies. Thats weird though, when in the game was that supposed to happen? Cuz if you read the novel Curt is working on that right during the movie, at the beginning, then they don't show him much again.

Symbiote is the name of the fore-mentioned symbiotic organism. It benifits the host in many ways, but at a price. the symbiote needs the host and over time the host needs the symbiote. The problem is that the symbiote outlives the host.

lizard won't be seen for a movie or two...

...or never at all.

well, that all depends on the theme of Sp4
Venom works well with the theme of Battle Within because he is the culmination of Peter Parker's inner darkness, given physical form

yep they can do a theme along the lines of "don't play god over nature or you pay the price"
dr. connors goes too far in his work instead of accepting the loss of his arm and trying to continue work as a teacher and the betterment of humanity..so he turns into a monster brought on by his lack of respect for nature or something
peter could have to learn to deal with losing someone and accept that they are gone and can't be brought back
doc ock could be brought back too just to show how bad an idea it is to mess with the natural order of things

please no more Doc Ock
this series could end at any time, and we want to get as many FRESH villains as possible

ok then maybe peter has a chance to bring back uncle ben using some kind of serum or time traveling device by which he could prevent his murder but in the end learns that everything happens for a reason
dr. connors learns that he lost his arm so that he would be faced with whether to go on as he had before or to become obsessed with regrowing his arm as a gift to the worl with some new technology..he doesn't choose the right path and turns into the monster
peter talks him into submission when he himself realsies uncle ben shouldn't be alive and dr. connors is cured and jailed, not killed though

i'm impressed, i didn't know if you could apply that theme to Peter
but your first theme for Pete was better (read: more probable), maybe Gwen dies in 4 (instead of 3) and Pete has trouble getting over it

yep that'd work - or if/when harry dies...maybe he's in a coma for a while and peter starts trying to obsess on a way to save him
when he realises that saving his friend really means letting him be at peace, since harry alive was just too tormented after the loss of his father etc...
connors, of course, if the one who gets driven to obsession and "some monsterism"

it'd be hard to build hype after using Venom though...he's the big one, and GG and Ock were the other two, so they've used all the majorly-anticipated villains
