And if the movie gets lucky and has X3's "legs" it still won't hit 200mil in the states.
Great to see that this made less than X2![]()
This movie is making alot of money despite all the hatred for it here on the net.

^Don't worry it'll get better. Fox will learn from their mistakes in this one and make Wolverine 2 the best damn X - Men movie EVER. Don't lose faith.
Who's crying?
I watched the movie a month ago, thought that it was mediocre and predicted a 90 million opening weekend anyway and it did 85mil. It deoesn't matter if the movie magically has good legs (it won't) and makes 250mil in total I still won't like it. Transformers made over 300mil and I don't like it. I don't judge movies based on boxoffice numbers, it's ashame if you or anybody else does.
I enjoy talking about the boxoffice but that doesn't mean that I like every hit or flop.
The whole X-series has been a disappointment to me but this flick was the worst of them all. So no, i'm not just picking on Wolverine.
I know for a fact that the final version changed hardly anything.
Me too. I heard it was different from the workprint soo much that it felt entirely like a new movie.
I knew they overestimated to make the movie look like it made more than X2 on opening weekend. Just like last year when Iron Man was estimated to have made 100mil when it really opened with 98.6mil.
Lets be honest my fellow haters, this flick was always going to open huge so these numbers shouldn't come as a shock to you. The huge fall it's going to have next weekend is what really matters though. I think that it will be lucky to make 190mil in total. No chance of 200mil unless the studio pushes it Superman Returns style...AKA, pretend that it made 200mil.
Another theory that I have is that it's not going to necessarily drop 70% in it's second weekend but thats it's pretty much going to drop over 50% for weeks to come.Agreed! But I think it will barely end up with about 160 million domestically.
