Not really buying a lot of these stories.

I mean the movie didn't do that well why would they be so hell-bent on making a sequel?

Not a spinoff. There's been talk of a sequel for a while but the movie doesn't really set up a sequel all that well and not only that the movie didn't make that much money.

So basically Kristen got fired so to speak because of the affair? Wow, Hollywood isn't playing around! Geez...

It certainly could be one of the contributing factors but they were already planning on moving forward with another movie with just the Huntsman.

They made double their budget worldwide, so its not surprising they want to do a sequel/spinoff.

This whole thing is messed up. It doesn't make sense to remove Snow White entirely.

Why not?!? Robin Hood and the Huntsman... The Beauty, the Beast and the Huntsman .... Red Riding Hood and the Huntsman... Sleeping Beauty and The Huntsman ...

Or The Huntsman and the 7 Dwarfs... You could easily do a story without Snow White,
The evil queen, the dwarfs, the Huntsman even William (I still think they should of just made him Robin Hood) were all better characters then Snow.

I actually think this would be one of the few cases were a re-cast would work, Stewart could have just been the younger version of the character, the teenage version, obviously later teens.

Someone else could be an older version of the character all grown up.

I'm fairly certain the Huntsman or a Huntsman-like character appears in Little Red Ridding Hood.

I could see that working.

Imo , Universal would basically be throwing money in the fireplace if they tried to make one cent off of a sequel without Stewart or the Snow White character. Maybe they are scared.

If so , they're better off just holding off on a sequel than making fear based choices which will cost them a fortune in the long run after people have moved on and forgotten about the whole thing.

This whole thing just sound ridiculous at this point. Stewart was the lead actor in the first film, and she is the one in doubt?

I just don't see what a/ made the Hunter character so interesting that he deserves a spin-off or b/ what SWATH had that was so interesting that it deserves a sequel / spin-off.

I agree with this. No offense to Hemsworth but his character wasn't really that interesting.

Charlize was far more interesting and I'd rather see another movie with her instead! Bring her hot Evil Queen back from the dead I say! :hrt:

According to Deadline, Stewart's not out;
Universal Pictures has taken the unusual step of outright denying a Hollywood Reporter story that Kristen Stewart had been dumped from the sequel to Snow White And The Huntsman. The studio issued this statement from Universal Co-Chairman Donna Langley: “We are extremely proud of Snow White And The Huntsman and we’re currently exploring all options to continue the franchise. Any reports that Kristen Stewart has been dropped are false.”

I think entertainment media reports just like to spread a lot of BS around without double-checking their facts and sources.

We know Variety reports fake crap all the time.
