I dig the idea of the Huntsman just going around and getting mixed up in other fairy tale ****. I'd pretty much watch Chris Hemsworth watch paint dry at this point.

I need to see this soon, purely because I'm in a bit of a Chris Hemsworth phase at the moment.

That would be an extremely good reason to go see it.

About the dwarves controversy thing... I don't get why there is controversy about this, when I honestly don't recall hearing any controversy about what Peter Jackson did with LOTR, or what he is in the process of doing with The Hobbit.

LOTR pretty much consisted of using a variety of F/X and visual trickery to make full-size actors into small people of various types (1 main dwarf, a bunch of cameo dwarves, 4 main hobbits and some cameo hobbits). And everybody has known for ages that all of the main dwarf and hobbit characters in The Hobbit are being done the same way, with Martin Freeman and Richard Armitrage being the most well-known outside of their roles.

Has there been a lot of complaining/controversy about the Middle Earth films that I just haven't seen?

Granted, due to the way those films are done, the full-size actors don't actually take a job AWAY from real-life little people actors. All of the actors have body-doubles. (The latest vlog from Peter Jackson did some hilarious stuff with Kiran Shah, who was Frodo's double and in the upcoming movie is doubling for Bilbo.) But the movies aren't allowing the little people actors be the "face" of the character, either.

I guess I was just surprised by the controversy over SWATH basically doing the same thing, because I figured after everybody had paid attention to all of the F/X stuff in LOTR, it was now a non-issue.

Do you think it's just because the SWATH "dwarf" cast was full of well-known faces, while the hobbits and dwarves of the Middle Earth films are more unknowns, with a few exceptions? Or what?

well this is embarrassing LOL

apparently Stewart had an affair with director rupert sanders lol
Kristen is absolutely devastated," said a source. "It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment...She wasn't having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn't have happened. She never meant to hurt anyone. She's a good person who just made a bad choice."

Sanders is married with two children; his rep couldn't be reached for comment. Stewart's rep had no comment on it.

In addition, if you want to put any credence in potentially photoshopped pics, Perez Hilton has a photo fro the cover of Us Weekly of Kristen in Sanders' arms, and based on the tank top she's wearing it's not during filming of the movie.

Yeah I enjoyed it, dont really believe the story so hope it doesnt effect the sequel as I can only see Sanders improving as a director.

Apparently is true as Stewart admits to it
""I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry.""

But again, don't really care.

Wow! Kristen better be careful, those team Edward psychos already hated her, they'll be out for blood now.

You cheated on Edward Cullen? *****, I am going to hunt you down and slit your throat!

- A soon to be exact quote from multiple girls

Oh, there have already been twitter responses from Twi-hards.

This movie sucked. If Stewart and the director wanted to apologize for something, they should apologize for suckering a bunch of us into paying to see this turd of a film.

Again, I have to ask.... why admit to it publicly?

they announced a 4min extended edition for the dvd/blu-ray
it'd better be more theron scenes

I'm terribly sorry if this will sound rude, but could you perhaps say how old you are?

I think they had to admit to it because of photos. No denying it anymore.

And the dreams of a million tween girls were just crushed.

Whatevs. It happens in Hollywood. I just feel bad for the director's family who found out about it like this.

:lmao:

You know, I couldn't care less about this Kristen Stewart-banged-her-director crap, but if this latest news is true, then at least some good has come out of it. Because Snow White sucked, and if they're going to push ahead with a sequel anyway, at least now there's a chance that they might hire a competent director.

Director's Wife Bans Him from Returning for "Show White and the Huntsman" Sequel

We recently learned that Universal Pictures is still pursuing a sequel to "Snow White and the Huntsman," and is interested bringing back both Kristen Stewart and director Rupert Sanders, despite the fact that the two slept together. In the process, Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson and Sanders cheated on his wife, Liberty Ross, who he has two young children with.

Pattinson quickly ended his relationship with Stewart, but Ross is sticking by Sanders. And while Universal is fine with having Stewart and Sanders on set together again, Ross has banned Sanders from directing the sequel.

"She just doesn't want him to ever work with Kristen again," a source told RadarOnline. "Rupert is obviously disappointed because 'Snow White and the Huntsman' was his directorial debut and he had hoped on building on that. But he knows his actions were inexcusable, and he's going to have to listen to his wife on this one."

Meanwhile, Summit Entertainment says that Stewart and Pattinson will both be available for the promotion of the upcoming "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," which hits theaters in November. Obviously things will be very awkward.

I'll say this. He got more emotion and sensuality out of Stewart then sparkly boy ever did.

While I enjoyed Stewart in the role, I felt the direction was stronger, so wouldn't a simple recast be a better solution?

For the sake of the movie, probably. But for casual fans? Nah. It doesn't matter how bad she was in the role, recasting is jarring. Plus, the studios probably think that her star power was a major draw and won't want to get rid of her (and it might have truly been what brought a lot of people in, I don't know).
