ProfeZZor X said:I'd be more than happy to provide you with a rebuttal, my overconfident and presumptuous posting pal. And for your information, Ive been in enough confrontations in this forum to hold my own. Whether or not anyone cares about my reputation is inconsequential, as the fact remains that I still get my point across. There are hundreds of people in this forum that post things others may or may not like. If you dont like it, dont read it or dont respond. Which brings us back to my original post in this thread.
If youre going post something that starts off with: Dont even bother reading what I have to say next, dont cower behind any justification or validation that you were right and I was incorrect, because I expressed my opinions of what should naturally happen next. Then, accuse me of being immature for responding in the same manner in which you did. Before you make an accusation like that, be sure you know what youre talking about and get a dictionary so you can understand the concept of free speech.
Its people like you that kill off franchises like this with your poignant and jaded perceptions of a perfect fan boys film, with complex characters that are too difficult for the GENERAL PUBLIC to understand. They are a waste of everyones energy, not to mention the studios money to appeal to fan boys like you. These movies arent made for you; theyre made with the intent to appeal to the GENERAL AUDIENCE, thats already familiarized themselves with the existing characters and fundamental universe they live in.
And as a bonus, I would be more than happy to grant you a retort on your earlier comments:
1) From a filmmakers standpoint, it makes no sense to have two of the main characters engaged in a physical confrontation. The rivalry that translates onscreen through verbal retaliations is enough to lead the audience into thinking there is something there, but considering they're both trying to win the affection of one woman, it utterly makes no sense for them to fight over her. Especially when it takes away from the concept of the movie... Mutants uniting.
2) Not that I would have preferred Magneto to be in all three movies, let alone Stryker in the second one, having to introduce another villain is too much of a gamble for the studio, since the GENERAL AUDIENCE is already use to this character (Magneto) from the first two movies. Plus, with the studios precognitive intent on ending this series with this third movie, The LAST stand, the actors contract, and other legal obligations were probably another determining factor. Not only that, but Fox shot itself in the foot by killing off some of the main characters, which ties into the whole Sinister plot in the first place.
3) As clichéd as it would be for a villain (Magneto) to awake an ancient and more powerful foe to aid in his fight against humans (Apocalypse), and advance a homo-superior nation, it simply doesnt fall within the pre-established realities for this movie universe. Thats like bringing in Indiana Jones elements into a Star Wars movie.
And lastly
"Wolverine as part of the Horseman, and stuff like that When you have any iota of thought to realize how stupid that concept is, get back with me.
I mostly agree, but wolverine was Apocalypses horseman death once.
Alos they made enough money on X-3 that they could probably get away with another villain, but they'd need a tighter director to head it up.
