It's pretty equal but Clark's lies were for the greater good whereas Lex was always hiding something evil.

Btw, I don't really want Lex to know. There's nothing I can do if he does know but he just shouldn't know.

depends on who you ask. Lex's "evilness" is what he considers the greater good. Think about it. If an alien beign did come to us who was amazingly more talented than we were, then we would always be skeptical. and ofcourse it would make sense if we could defend ourselves if need be.
