The Dark Knight so, when Jim Gordon "died"...

My theater went so wild when he came back as the SWAT officer, but were they really surprised? :hehe: I doubt it but I'm sure there may have been a few people in the theater shocked that he "died". I mean he did take a bullet to the back *ouch*

How isn't he? It wasn't until after the movie when my friend said "I'm pissed they killed Dent" that it even occurred to me he WAS dead.
I know, same here. I walked out of the movie thinking they left it open for the future.

Eckhart confirmed that he was dead. Plus, the script has Dent as dead. Could they bring him back? Suuure, I guess. But there's very little evidence to suggest that he's actually alive.

People's gonna keep bringing this up in 20 years.. Dent's alive, ten, and so on

Well I did read Gordon fakes his death!!! that some idiot put in the title of a thread* the day before I was gonna see the movie but.. while seeing it, I completely forgot I read about that

*in the IMDb forums--not here :whatever:

Yeah you really have to stay away from there when a film is released. I completely forgot about him still being alive too because I was so wrapped up into the movie and excited about it.

Good God, you people actually felt he was killed? How they handled that? He's such an important character. And they're going to kill him off that far into the movie. If a major character was killed like that. It would be very dramatic. Like Rachel's death. In fact, he's more of an imprortant character. Besides, I already knew he faked his death. But still, it's pretty obvious. Though I have to admit, Gordon's reveal did surprise me.

Save it. I didn't feel anything--I was unaware of the plans but it's not like I was thinking too much into it--was just watching a movie..

Yeah, everyone in the theater was incredibly shocked.

I was even moreso, especially since I remembered seeing him in a couple other clips in the trailers that hadn't been seen yet... Even so, when he returned, EVERYONE in the theater cheered and clapped.

wow, i thought it was pretty obvious he wasn't dead. I just didn't know how he would come back.

Now what happened every time i saw it in theaters, the crowd would cheer when Gordon came back... or what we in the magic community call the prestige...teehee

I couldn't believe it. then I remembered seeing the scene where gordon is held back by the cops that building explosion, and said he had to be alive, unless they cut that scene.

Jonah Nolan also said he was dead.

Also, if Dent dies...we're back to the "I don't have to save you" argument. You all know where I fell on that one. Except this time Batman actually DID kill somebody.

I always hated that moment in BB. And yes, Batman did kill Dent, unintentionally or otherwise. This is the second time Batman kills Two-Face in the movies.

No problem. Let's go back to that discussion then. :)

You guys really thought he died?
I don't really think too much while I'm watching a movie--I digress way too easily and I'd miss too much stuff--so, Gordon gets shot? ok, let's move on--he shows up again? oh good! little cheer--moving on..

but that's me--I'm sure not everyone's as slow as I am :o :hehe:

I mean like up to the point where he got shot i hadn't seen the whole scene where Joker is at MCU, so logically i'm like "He's just faking it". I know they cut out scenes nut they wouldnt have cut out one that that important to the plot.
