Yeah, I agree, too. For me, 1 & 2 was excellent, 3 was sort of butt, and 4 & 5 spiked again, and the current season is a bit softer thus far. But I'm still enjoying it a good deal, though, unlike most of season 3, which just seemed like a waste of goddamn time until the end.

I love how they have been using Clay. For a while there he was the new Piney and now he's the new Otto.

It's fitting since he killed one and manipulated the hell out of the other.

No, this season hasn't been as strong as others. Not to me.

It started out awesome but really lost steam by killing Toric so early. Since then, the season has plateaued. I'm expecting it to explode again by the season finale.

Something doesn't seem right about Putner or the daughter attacking them.

is the mom the homeless woman they've been showing us all these years? The one who is symbolic for God? I am thinking so....

Good eye....

Also, I think the daughter was on Lie To Me.

What's this?
Watch all the seasons and check what she says. At one point she even leads Gemma into a church. Pretty obvious when you watch all the eps together in a short period of time. :)

Really. Has she been in recent episodes (outside the latest; I haven't seen it yet).

for a minute there near the end I had the sick feeling Tara was going to kill her kids in some murder sucide type thing, was about to quickly change the station.

Another lovely day in the life of being a Teller.

That poor guard...

Yeah I thought she was going out like Shane Vendrell.

While what Tara did was ****ed up. I hate seeing Gemma having it all turned in her favor. I hope the truth about her role in JT's death comes to light and she meets Mr. Mayhem. Speaking of which, I hope that's not what's being discussed in the preview where we see Jax telling the crew what Tara had done.

Nero sees through Gemma's BS. It's time to cut ties. She ain't worth all that drama.

Great episode! About halfway through I was thinking it was a good episode, but nothing special, the final 3rd or so really ramped things up though. The woman was definitely the same God/Homeless woman, a funny little connection. I thought there might be more to it, some complex story involving J.T to make Jax's life even more complicated, but it looks like it will just be a one-off subplot. Kind of neat.

Jax's deal with the D.A is interesting, I hope it works out, though it's bound to get worse before it gets better. I was glad to see Tara's plans come crashing down and bought to light so suddenly. Not because I necessarily disagree with Tara, only because I expected that to be dragged out for much longer and it's refreshing to have everything out in the open now.

Does anyone know what the song was Tara was singing at the end? I tried to Google it with no luck.

Heh! That's funny, I just found that exact article and popped into this thread to mention it. Thanks!

Amazing episode! Wow. Can't wait until next week! I have a couple predictions, and I hope they come true.

The last I can recall was last season's dog fight episode. She was rooting around in the rubbish bins after Tig rescued that dog. She mumbled something to Jax as he went back in the building but I never did make out what she said excactly.

As soon as Jax saw that picture in their house I knew it was the homeless lady!! But what does this all mean for Jax? Is him trying to help them going to be some form of salvation for him or something??

Well it prompted him to do good for someone in the Community. I think maybe it was an attempt by Sutter to show that Jax is still human and has some authentic emotions, that he hasn't gone all bad. Of course that could change depending on how he deals with Tara.

True that. I dunno though, is this all gonna be just subtextual stuff or is the homeless lady actually the chicks mom who has had amnesia the last 20 years or whatever. I would kinda rather her be left out of the story for the main part but I do like the idea of Jax helping out her family.

One thing I'm noticing, after Unser mentioned how people grieve. Some of these characters don't really grieve believably. We only really saw Tig just go cold and cap that guard's wife last season and Roosevelt has barely cried over the loss of his wife and kid. Come to think of it, Roosevelt should have taken on Torric's role or something. He cried when she died and he did some shady stuff after the fact but I really expected to see him go on a full downward spiral an out for revenge. Now he's just Jax's lap dog. Kinda sad for the character cuz when he was introduced in season 4 I for sure thought he was taking over Hale's role after he was killed in season 3.

Kid's mom was taken out in the same crash as Jax's dad so her looking like the homeless lady is coincidental.

According to IMDB the daughter will back in the season finale. Though that site is always unreliable.

I don't know, everyone grieves differently. Tig puts on a brave front but after drowning that guy in pee recently it's obvious the death of his daughter is never far below the surface. Roosevelt too, he constantly has a grim demeanor about him, no need to become Batman. Torric was a special case because he was already nuts before the death of his sister, where as Roosevelt's just a regular dude trying to get by. Point being, some people spend years grieving and never get over the death of a loved one, others don't even cry, bury their grief deep and carry on. Just like in real life, the characters of the show grieve in their own way -who knows what they do 'off camera'?
