Told him his proposal didn&#8217;t comport at all with the ml/ike/ amy/kevin conversations nor with the spirit of the other bob-kaz/horn-ml various conversations.

Also told him there were many other universes we could place spidey in and do real well for ourselves to which he said, yep I know&#8230;.



And I told him without a co-fi component, there is a &#8220;gating issue&#8221; failure and we should all part friends, to which he said ok.



I really think we need to assume this is over and don&#8217;t reach out to them

Follow up on the FNAC Master Class with Marc Webb and one Actor for Friday, April 11th. Marc has not agreed to do this. Andrew still needs to agree to be the Guest Editor for Journal de Mickey. Has someone discussed this with him? It would be great to see the digital campaign for the &#8220;Surprise Your Kid Using a Spider-Man Costume&#8221; campaign. Please send us updates as it goes.


Australia

Australia said their outdoor will be confirmed after their focus groups. Now that the focus groups have happened, do they have an idea of what they&#8217;re using?


Japan

Japan is asking for more footage/photos about the enemies. Are we getting this to them? Do we think that our next trailer will fill their needs? What if we got Arashi to sing a song for our credits? Is that already in the works? If we&#8217;re not going to buy Olympics spots, what are we going to do instead? Where is that money going? So we&#8217;re not doing a Baseball game promotion &#8211; what else are we doing? Are we doing a soccer game promotion since they are so popular? How did the meetings go with NTV? What programs did we decide that Spidey will be on?


Korea

Though you&#8217;re already working on it, when do you think you&#8217;ll have the second :30 trailer in theaters? Are we going to get Korea a 2D IMAX trailer? When? Has int&#8217;l publicity found space/time for Korea at the Singapore junket?


Italy

Are we ready with what Italy will need in terms of horizontal formats and bulletins? What is the status of the Italian TV Spots? They need the first one in mid-February. When will you know when the programming that the Roadblock is on will be confirmed?


Germany

The online comments about the trailer are not good. How do we get people excited about Spider-Man there? Do we need to show less action in future materials? Are we getting Germany the wallstickers, standees, and webbing for in-theater? I know you&#8217;re working on it, but when will the living one-sheet get there? Are we going to make the TV spot deadlines that Germany sent us?


Mexico

When will be getting Mexico garlands, window clings, totems, etc? When will we be sending them all one-sheet versions and standees? Is there a backup plan for the QR codes/ What teens are we planning to connect with in order to reach teen users? When will we be able to confirm the Men&#8217;s Health Magazine and AG? When can we confirm that Emma will be Moire&#8217;s celebrity of the month?


China

What, statistically, was the response to the trailer? What are we going to do since we have lost partnerships with:
Kang Shi Fu Noodle, Lays China Uniqlo, Levis, Metersbone Amap.com, Spider.com.cn, Sunning.com, Yixun.com Family Mart, Joy City GM Shanghai Roewe motors, Dong Feng KIA Motors, Volkswagen China

1. I read the Networked insights spidey proposal...
- make sure you know specifically who the strategist working on that project will be. Insist on meeting her/him....that project will be useful in direct relation to how good that person is. It will require a good mind to cut through all that data and give you real actionable insight....social media analysis at this high strategic level is still a relatively new discipline

2. I read through the Greenberg proposal
- make sure it's clear if that is meant to be essentially a marketing tool or a content development tool/segmentation.
It's very very hard to be both.... A segmentation designed to help one understand what kind of movies certain groups tend to like/dislike is different than one designed to help one understand what levers to throw to make certain groups actually go to the theatre.

(Another behavioral question I would be curious about is "what makes people NOT go to the movies" with a particular emphasis on those factors that you have some versus zero control over)

Once people think we're gonna have both movies in 16, I can only imagine there will be questions about how the two movies dovetail, whether the storylines cross, whether SPIDEY appears in ss.
