Ehhh, I'm no a big fan of Scrubs, lol. The comedy never really hit me like it did others, but hey, I guess everybody has a diferent taste in comedy, lol. I loved That 70's Show.

There are heaps of great comedy shows without laugh tracks.... 40 Rock, The Office, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, My Name Is Earl, Flight of the Conchords, Bored to Death, Eastbound and Down... there are plenty of others, but with a list that big it's hard to think of them all on the spot :P
Screw all of you guys for not even mentioning Seinfeld. You're all dead to me, dead I tell you. And I gotta agree with Oscorp, almost everyone in Sweden watches How I Met Your Mother, and it was damn funny in its prime.
I don't have a problem with the jokes we've heard so far in the game, or the over feel of it. But I feel that O'Hara and Parker should just hug it out and become friends.
The only time I laughed out loud while reading a comic was during Dan Slott's Spider-Man/Human Torch mini. And that wasn't even at the jokes, more the general situations. The charm in the jokes is that they are corny, and at most chuckle worthy.
Wait, Spidey makes corny jokes in this game? You mean... like he does in the comics? Shameful!
But yeah, HIMYM is damn funny IMO!![]()
I just can't stand any comedy with a laugh track. Canned laughter sitcoms, I thought we'd moved past that.

Another favorite comedy show of mine (animated series) is Family Guy. Have always loved it.
Don't think Roger Stern made him funny?I've been reading Spidey comics for a long time, and I can't remember anytime i've ever laughed out loud at a one liner. That's his whole thing, that's part of his charm. None of his jokes are ever clever, they'er endearingly corny.
Same here. I can probably count the times I've had huge laugh out loud moments from reading comics/literature in general. A big part of comedy is delivery and that's obviously lost when you're looking at walls of text.I've been reading Spidey comics for a long time, and I can't remember anytime i've ever laughed out loud at a one liner. Anno Domini said:I thought the writing would make or break if a comedy series would be funny, but never would I imagine that a laugh track would be the reason for a show to not be funny to someone.
Well if you're America, you've probably been raised on that type of comedy so I suppose you're more immune to it. I happen to find it very stilted and awkward, making gaps in the pacing and delivery and sucking all the natural, reality out of any comic situation. Also there's the fact that most standard sitcoms are just crap, a string of sassy one liners held together by a 'heard it before' plot.
And Flight of the Conchords might not be to your tastes, but that is far from 'dumb', especially when you compare that to the fact that Two and a Half Men has been one of the highest rating comedy shows in the states.
Btw, have any of you guys seen a show called 'Adventure Time'? My friend showed it to me the other day, and that show is funny as hell!
red vs blue hell yeah. But isn't these a eot thread.
t:In due time you'll realize that we always talk about more than what a thread is focused on, lol. Just visit the Dark Knight Rises (Spoilers) area for examplet:
