Spider-Man: Edge of Time - Part 3

For those asking, I haven't beaten the game. At the moment, I just finished Act one. These graphics are incredible. I just realized that a lot of the movies are actually in-engine! And the transition to pre-rendered cut scenes are flawless. It keeps you immersed in the action.

I've purchased a few upgrades as well. The web slinging has become a lot of fun. It's faster and easier to control. Also, the locked combat moves definitely add a nice touch to the combat system.

The boss fights are also a lot of fun. Anti-Venom, in my opinion, was one of the more memorable boss fights in any Spider-Man game. The elements Beenox has put together is astounding. The musical score in this game is memorable. With a market like todays, that's hard to come by. Mainly because everyone tries to reproduce an orchestral movie like score.

While that is the case here, for this game it works. I have to go to work now. Another hour and a half went by quick! haha I've just been introduced to Black Cat. Looking forward to picking back up when I get home.

Also, Walker Sloan is a great villain.

I agree with everything you said, I left the game at the same point you did to have dinner lol,:ikyn now I'm ready for another round!!! I loved the intro credits, that was an awesome touch!!!:spidey::up::D

The combat is repetitive just because its a beat em up. 2099 and Amazing both fight very differently so that helps break up the repetition and there are many moments where you are crawling through ducts or web swinging which also helps break up the repetition. My only complaint so far is that there isn't a dodge button. A simple dodge button would have been really nice.

Nice to see these positive responses. A question, how is the wall crawling in this game? As much as I liked Shattered Dimensions, the wall crawling was horrid there.

From the launch trailer;
Anti-Monster Ock
:shock

:wow:

I read that Gamepro review. The blurb has the story being disappointing, but the Cons don't even mention it...Whatever.

Its better than SD but still not great.

Damn, where are all the reviews for this game? Does Activision even care? I haven't seen a single ad for it yet.

the people at activision are being preoccupied by listening to the batman arkham city soundtrack

Just encountered a holy s**t moment. :shock

Wow, this was a nice twist! And what Beenox does is awesome!

I saw that Atrocity (that's its name) in the strategy guide. God damn. Why couldn't we just have Anti-Venom and Doc Ock as separate boss fights?

I'm loving the game, but I really, really hate this web zipping. It's sloppy, completely inaccurate and most of the time you end up swinging aimlessly. I also don't like how limited Spider-Man is with his jump. Most of the time, he can't even jump up onto a surface without having to web zip.

I never liked the controls. It doesnt feel very spiderman either

LOL.

They wanted to get this garbage out the way so they can turn their attentions to Arkham City. Now they can spend the next 2 weeks pre gaming for that title.

If someone can, post a shot of that Ben Reily suit in action.

this game is pretty fun, its a good beat'em up that is great for killing time. i haven't beaten it yet though.
