So far, the game is great. There are some minor issues, like the web zipping, and the fact that Spidey's web swing really doesn't ever pick up any momentum, but overall it's a lot of fun. I've managed to unlock the new Ultimate Spider-Man, Big Time, Future Foundation, and Ben Reilly suits (in addition to the ones I got from having the SD saved game on my HD). The premise is pretty interesting, and the back and forth play between present day and 2099 is something I haven't seen yet.

I bought it, played it for 3 and a half hours. It's fun, but still doesn't satisfy me. The vocie acting is the best, IMO.

Yeah, I want to buy it strictly for Chris Barnes.

Now I have a strong desire to watch the 90s cartoon

Hearing Barnes scream "Mary Jane!" brought back some fond memories of the 90's series. Whoever said that Keaton and Barnes make a great time, is dead on.

the entire game takes place in one building? Im not sure I like that. What I loved about SD was how varied the environments and levels were. I wasnt a big fan of the 2099 environments bc it did take place primarily in and around a building, which wasnt too exciting. The level design was strongest with the other worlds

I just got done playing the jungle looking for the parts for the time machine It was pretty cool.

The game has some highlights but it also has countless flaws

I want to play through this, but yea, I'm just gonna wait for it to hit that 20-30 dollar mark. Shouldn't have to wait long.

If TRU follows with tradition, they should be having a Buy 2 get 1 Free sale within the next 2 weeks. This game along with Batman and Uncharted 3 are on my radar for that

Hm, i might have to hit that up then. Altho, i think id pick up Rage before id get this.

I'm tempted to consider this a Capcom game with Spider-Man skins, web swinging and wall crawling
That review lost credibility with me when they started to praise Web of Shadows.
It's a disgusting game, and the combats system in it isn't the best
I agree with you on this one

IDA. One thing WOS did right was the combat. It was very fluid and the moves were fairly easy to pull off. It had the best combat system in a Spidey game as far as Im concerned

I agree on combat mechanics being one of the things they did right, but I wouldn't consider it the best, with exception to wall fight SM2 has a more fun combat system

SM2 had great webbing but I didnt find its combat particularly great or fun

The fact that it takes place in a single location isn't bad at all. The difference between the current timeline and the 2099 timeline is very noticeable, and the variety of levels within the specific universe is great. My two biggest complaints with this game are the web swinging/zipping, and the fact that when you die, you start ALL THE WAY over from wherever you were. Some of the cutscenes aren't able to be skipped, so a few times you're stuck watching the same thing over and over again.

It really is a lot of fun, and the graphics are great.

I agree with disturbed that the graphics are pretty great the anti venom fight was fun. I also loved that jungle section of the game to I think Im going to go back in there and walk around.
