I don't get why they don't have the same person review the same games. This guy would have given Shattered Dimensions a two compared to the stuff he disliked in Edge of Time. But I don't listen to IGN anyway, they're ****.
Except IGN is usually too soft on games, rather then too harsh. If the guys who were willing to give free passes to things don't like it, its a bit of a red flag.
IGN is easy on top level games. You will never see a game like Gears of War, Halo or CoD get a bad score. Ever. That's what they are notorious for. They always give those kind of games 9s or higher. I haven't seen them give one of them an 8.5.
and how often do you see those games get low scores elsewhere? They score high bc by and large, those are great gamesIGN is easy on top level games. you cant necesarily compare different games to their score especially when reviewed by different peoppleI was just about to post the IGN review. I have to say I was really, really surprised when I saw the score. 4.5 is low.
Nothing against the new X-Men game, but I wasn't fussed at all by that, wasn't even going to rent it. I thought it looked very boring, but the IGN review for that got a 5.5. I just can't believe that that would be a better game (by a 1, sure) than this, according to IGN.

Eh, looks better than SD, that crap was revered even by themSounds about right. The game looks terrible.
IGN never had mineIGN lost my respect a long time ago.
Yeah, rightExcept IGN is usually too soft on games, rather then too harsh.
Yeah, right
Yeah IGN isn't the best site, but it's that the score was so low that shocked me. I can get behind that the environments seem bland and so on, but a 4.5 from IGN practically means that the game is broken beyond belief, which EoT certainly doesn't seem to be.
Just beat the game earlier, pretty fun all in all. Ill probably sell it soon.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if Activision looks at it this way. They'll probably decide it's the developers fault and look for a new one.
