Spider-Man: Edge of Time - Part 4

I dont know what game you played that you thought EoT deserves an 8 outta 10, but thats way too damn high for this game. How you can say SD is a 2.5 yet EoT is an 8.5 makes no damn sense. Everything that was fun about SD was removed from EoT.

Oh please, Shattered Dimensions is the worst Spider-Man game ever (it upsets me to say WoS is slightly more enjoyable), and it's a highly overrated garbage:
First person sucks hard
Repeating the exact same pattern 12 consecutive levels is $#%^, and it's worse how some villains could have been defeated sooner, and how it forces 30 minutes per stage
Story is crap
Madam Webb is annoying when she guides
Final fight is extremely too long
So much lost potential
Save civilians so you keep saving them while they do you a favor, even on a press of a switch
Useless hordes of annoying annoying cronies to beat
Crap missions
Crap crap crap
Music sucks

All it has better than EoT:
More environments
More variety of boss fights and recognizable Spider-Man foes

EoT has is a homage to great games, and it did more good than bad. O'Hara and Parker interaction made the game even a more entertaining experience

Shattered Dimensions the worst Spidey game ever? Really? Even if you did dislike it, how can you be serious about that comment? Im only going to assume you are being sarcastic bc it was FAR from the worst. Actually one of the better ones, at least in recent years

Are you ******ed?

Great homage to great games? What great games have you stuck in the same environments fighting the same enemies with the same moves? That does NOT make a great game, in the slightest.

The ONLY thing worth noting for EoT is the interaction between CDB and JK. Thats it.

You're right, NES Sinister Six is far worse
At least from the Activision games it is the worst

Same moves? A lot.
I didn't mention locations
Same kinds of enemies over and over again? You love resident Evil and Metal Gear, they did that, even with the variety of monsters in RE, how many zombies have you killed so far? Or passed by?
That does NOT make a great game, in the slightest.
You are classified as one of the weird complainers, love a game that has possible issues without pointing at them, but when it's there in another game you have to flesh them out

I didn't love anything. I didn't like SD, but i hated EoT. Its easy to see why.

SD was leaps and bounds better than what they did with SM3 and WoS

Other than the zip attack, wall fights, some funny dialogue, and free roam swinging, WoS is worthless, but it still plays a tad bit better

SM3, weeeeellllll, I got far luckier than you did with it, but even if I had the issue you faced it's still much much much much much better than SD
Jumping is better, swinging is better, web attacks are better, speed of defeating thugs is better, jumping from walls and wall sprinting is really fun, pole swing is glorious, mission variety is better. It felt like a Spider-Man game with more freedom, plus there are those "Spidey tells you what you need to do, but you can do something else to pass" moments
Fighting against New Goblin, one of the best fights in any video game (after QTE sequence), I love letting him get hit by a train

There is no way I can see what makes SD a decent game, let alone better than an actual good game (even with its flaws)

Hold up werent you the one that didnt even play the game but based your opinions after watching he entire game on YT? Okay that explains alot now

I did watch the whole game, gave it a 7/10
Finished it twice, discovered I was terribly wrong

Fight cronies while chasing stage boss, fight boss. Rinse, repeat
Almost the exact same operation 12 freaking levels, how the f*** should I consider it a good game?
No one mentioned how annoyingly repetitive it is cause the four Spider-Man did different attack moves, but the needed the same button pressing, same arrangement, same amount, same...uuuuuuuggggggghhhh

Get back on to EoT, it improved over SD a lot, they could have done better given more time to work, but they did fine with this one, it downgraded some stuff of what there is in Turd Dimensions, but it's in no way a lesser game

EoT >>>>>>>> Suck Dimensions

I hate SD with passion, it deserves all the hate I give it, don't tempt me to give it a 1/10

As I have said before, your scoring system is weird Aziz. I'm just gonna leave it at that, if it works for you thats fine but I still find it weird.

So, I watched the footage for the Nintendo DS version...good god, that game looks like a massive fail!

It had really low-grade, 2D sprites, VERY simple gameplay, riddled with glitches, and even the voice acting sounded awkward on it. They couldn't even get Walker Sloan's model right! It's such a step-down from the very enjoyable DS version of Shattered Dimensions.

It may have more villains and boss battles than the regular console...but it's not worth it.

Sweet! :awesome: That's one of the costumes I wanted when they were working on Shattered Dimensions.

Here's a clip with all the costumes. No full body shots though.

Damn! I think I counted like 27 or 28. Thats a sh-t load of costumes. I think that might be the most ever put in for a character in a videogame

Ok, so I rented Edge of Time and played till I woke up in the regenerator. So far, I'm enjoying it, although I'm not entirely happy with the combat. I think it was better in Shattered Dimensions. Even though you can navigate a bit faster between enemies in EoT and it's easier to handle multiple enemies. But it feels just a lot more simple compared to SD.

Happy to see that there are more wall crawling parts and that wall crawling is actually done well this time. As for the presentation, it's just ace. Loved the Anti-Venom fight.

Awesome about the last stand costume, I remember posting that I wanted it some time ago. And that is a lot of costumes. Yet people still harp on about how the PS1 ones had more. Which is a lie of course.

EDIT: Isn't it basically Noir re-skinned though?

Man,the reception for this game has been so mixed that I still don't know if I'll play it or skip it.
