Spider-Man: Edge of Time - Part 4

lifeless city (even before the symbiote infection)
There are cops, citizens, and cars in both portions of the story, civilians panic when something wrong happens
a story filled with so, so many holes,
That issue is there in SD as well
HORRIBLE voice acting,
Kingpin, that's all, the rest do nice performance, even ones with bad voice
a few bad WTF? moments (Luke Cage teaching you moves you already know,
And Spider-Puppet, and he's a rookie who's over 10 years into the superhero business, etc..
ripping off Wolverine in half
With adamantium, nonsense
trivia question bosses)
Only Logan, he had to make sure of some stuff
a good/bad morality system that doesn't change the endings at all
A boss fight on a helipad in range of the device, and you're forced to repeat the exact same move 12 times, do nothing else or you're dead meat
the useless appearances of Marvel superheroes
They are useful to make Spider-Man a bloody puppet even to his foe:argh: and for funny interaction moments
You can guess why it annoys me when people say WoS was better than SD. While it has some flaws, at least you could tell that some heart and thought was put into SD (and to an extent, EoT). I never got that from WoS.
EoT is better than them both

I think SD was more bold than Edge Of Time, but Edge Of Time has a more engaging story. also, it's great to have Peter David writing miguel again, as he may be the only writer not to make him a Peter Parker ripp off.

And yet you can barely notice.

SD had a grossly simple story. VERY simple, but because of that, it had no plot holes. WoS was riddled with them.

I think Spider-Man's voice in that game was so horrible, you mentally blocked it out to keep yourself sane. :oldrazz:

Only Logan, he had to make sure of some stuff

Still felt very forced.

EoT is better than them both

I'll be the judge of that a few months from now.

Why not rent it? Takes a day to finish. 2 if you only play a couple hours a day.

I'm borrowing it from a friend when I come back home in a few months, to see if it really is as mediocre or not as others say. Though I have a feeling I'll probably spend more time unlocking skins than actually beating it.

And considering AC is coming out very soon, I'm not really in a rush to play it.

I once said this, with Activison luck changes from one disc copy to another, depending on how faulty you may find it

I wish I could mentally block the whole game from my mind, that would keep me sane, but the Spider-Man geekery in me doesn't allow it, it instead makes me replay both those flat games
I'm borrowing it from a friend
Wish I had a the kind of friend to borrow it from

For a game counted as a throwaway edition, they poured a lot of love on making it, I appreciate what they did, and I still like the game

That's creepy as hell. I hope there are still going to be a couple more. I'd love to see Spider-Carnage for Miguel.

I mean why should it be nice? The game isn't that good. Unfortunately my fears from SDCC were confirmed on this game.

Gameplay and controls just seem to have devolved and taken a step back in this game. Attack controls are very rough at times. Web ziplines are much harder to use. You can't lock onto enemies or lock onto to a target for a web zipline and I don't like that. Web swinging and zipping just isn't as smooth as it used to.

Also I was disappointed that it is all set in the Alchemax facility.

I liked the voicing acting and 90's Spider-man TAS interacting with SSM basically. Other than that, massive disappointment.

Hero HQ posted a hint for the next costume.

Here’s a hint: the upcoming content was inspired by a particular “What If?” comic.

I think it's going to be this.

They unveiled that one 'The Other' Symbiote, and 'Death of Spider-Man' (not the Ultimate one, that other one, with the reversible jacket costume), right?

Bought this game today. Wasn't planning to get it for awhile, but I since I have money to burn now, I figured, why not? Look forward to playing it, though I'll probably wait a bit since I just wanna watch my new dvds for right now.

People are actually still playing this? Do they not know that Arkham City, Battlefield 3 and Uncharted are all out now? With Skyrim to follow next week.

Never even bought it. :oldrazz:

Waiting for a discount. Still too busy with Arkham City and soon to get Uncharted. Just wanted to update.

I wouldn't man. I was able to try it from work and it isn't worth the price, let alone a discount sales price. Im talking bargin bin, basement type price is what ya need to wait on. Especially with games like AC and Uncharted now out.

Looks cool

There's no problem in that. I finished it once before returning the disc I rented, waiting for a low cost package containing both this and SD with a decent low price

I don't want to play BAC before purchasing the disc, not going to spoil a thing on myself now, same goes for Uncharted
Never cared for Elder Scrolls, don't plan to care
