On a serious note though, feige said the name had a double meaning. I reckon this will be the movie that officially moves peter out of the mcu and into the Sony verse

Well, logically speaking, it would be a stupid movie but we gotta remember the original deal does end with this second solo movie. It was going to be 5 movies, right? And now this Far from Home would be the 5th movie of that deal.

Assuming the double-meaning truly is related to property rights, it could simply imply that Spider-Man and associated characters are "far from home" since Sony still does have control over the film rights. Side note, I kind of miss the days when Spider-Man titles didn't imply anything regarding studio negotiations.

Or maybe... Spider-Man: Home Front (if the rights battle continues) or Spider-Man: Home Sweet Home (if Marvel gets the rights back).

If Spider-Man was removed from the MCU, I think I would just lose so much interest in Spider-Man films, and my excitement for the MCU in general would lower.

At the very least, I want to get a solid trilogy out of Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

If this takes place after Avengers 4 then I guess it is possible for Spidey to visit the London Sanctum. Spidey and Strange met for the first time in Infinity War so if the film is set before that then them running into each other is unlikely.

I actually like the idea of different Marvel superheroes having extended cameos/supporting roles in Spidey movies. Iron Man in Homecoming, perhaps Doctor Strange in Far From Home. Another hero in the third Spidey MCU solo flick.

When do you think they would start making negotiations for more films beyond "Far From Home"? I don't think they would wait too long after the movie is released.

Knowing Sony, if a third film DOES happen, I imagine they would want to announce it right before or right after the release of "Far From Home."

If a third movie doesn't happen, I wonder if they will keep Holland's Spider-Man for their spin-off movies, or just reboot again (which would really hit the franchise hard).

Whatever happens, it is certainly clear that Sony is testing the waters in many ways: they have the Venom spin-off, an animated film, and a mainstream Spider-Man series in the MCU. I think an animated film series can co-exist with the MCU Spider-Man, but a live action spin-off series might be confusing and could potentially conflict with the MCU Spidey. Maybe I have no clue as to what I am talking about so correct me if I am wrong.

So in other words you have nothing but personal conjecture to back up up your statement about the current state of the Sony deal or the idea that somehow the title of the film is a reference on Feige's part to moving Spidey out of the MCU.
