Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

The stones are as powerful as the writers want them to be. I don't see why they wouldn't be capable of resurrecting people. That'd be so random.

But billions of people are still dead, making the universe a really messed up place right now, and it's all the Avengers' fault because they didn't use the stones correctly.

"When you can do the things that I can, but you don't, and then the bad things happen, they happen because of you."

Where do you get it from that billions of people are still dead? Everyone who got dusted returned. Not just the superheroes we saw die, but also people like Peter Parker's best friend Ned who he reunited with at the end. The Russos confirmed Ned was dusted too, hence why he and Peter are both still in school together.

So everyone (half the universe) who got dusted came back from the "dead", or whatever you'd call it.

The only people still dead are the people who just happened to die for one reason or another sometime in the intervening five years that had nothing to do with Thanos.

Which is probably a lot of people considering that the Snap caused the fall of God knows how many societies all over the universe.

He puts more emotion into this gif (let alone his other appearances) than Asa has done in every single film he’s acted in. So lucky we have him.

Fine, but let’s see Tom Holland play a guy who is mortally terrified of fapping.

You're basically complaining that the heroes aren't heroic enough, and that they should be villanized because they didn't save every single person throughout the Universe. You have a point, but you're also being hugely hyperbolic. The Avengers were under no obligation to save anyone... period. The fact that they brought back half the population is considered a win. The idea that people would be furious with anger because the Avengers couldn't save everyone from death is a bit much. Comparing it to Ultron... which the Avengers literally created.. is also a stretch. In one case, the Avengers are somewhat responsible for the deaths of others. In the other case, the Avengers aren't available to save everyone. There's a difference. Maybe not enough for you, but easily enough for the casual viewer, which is all that matters.

And why would the outrage at those people not being resurrected outweigh the relief/joy brought by the against-all-odds defeat of Thanos and the undoing of the Snap? It's easy to believe that an overwhelming majority would appreciate the reversing of billions of unnatural deaths, to the point where the frustration over deaths that weren't reversed would be unable to eclipse it.

This combined with the Braddock reference in Endgame leads me to believe we'll be seeing Captain Britain soon...

Also can't wait for the Rick and Morty references in this movie.

Sexy.

Well, I’m not a huge Marvel fan overall, so I’m not bothered about them not all being in the same universe.

And the multiverse makes the most sense. It just does.

How many heroes does one world need and to the point where it's nothing - a city needs one protector. Multiverse keeps it fresh and opens up way more stories unlike...

- New York, at night, a young female gets robbed at gun point, she screams - out of the shadows a beacon of hope, it's Spiderman, followed by Luke Cage, oh and Daredevil, F4, iron fist, jessica jones... ok now the x men have just shown up, this is just obnoxious... oh and doctor strange... followed by Black panther... jesus, even Thor just suddenly showed up.. oh god now Hulk is pissed off and raging... oh look, venom is here, but he's eaten the girl... ok, Captain Britain shows up 'what did i miss?'

Henry Cavill needs to sign on as Capt Britain...

I wonder if people would still idolize Tony if they knew that he's the reason all their loved ones who died in the 5 years between the Snap and the Unsnap are still dead. Probably not

Bringing billions and trillions of people who've been dead for five years back into a universe that moved on and adapted to their sudden disappearance is enough of a morally questionable cluster**** as it is. Adding more people coming back to that mess isn't going to make the Avengers better heroes (quite frankly, I think reversing time back to 2018 would've been the most humane way of reversing the snap but even that means Tony's daughter or anyone born after the snap never exits).

I love that the marketing campaign is hiding the fact that Mysterio is a villain (and all that bull**** about him being a hero is a con, just like in the original Mysterio story in the comics). The multi-verse idea sets up a ton of possibilities down the road. And I love how Fury calls Spidey on his bull**** about not being up for this ("I am just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man" "***** please! You've been to *space*!"). And given how Stark was such a big character in Homecoming it makes sense the direct followup would deal with his death in Endgame. He's an important figure in MCU Peter's life, like it or not.

Speaking of Captain Britain, I looked up to see if Earth 833 was in the comics and apparently that's the Earth where Spider-UK comes from.

Miles Morales's uncle was in homecoming and he hinted at Miles right? So he may be part of the 616 universe later on.

I've seen articles floating around online speculating that Miles could be MCU Spidey 3 because of the multiverse

Let’s hope not. He has had enough exposure right now. Let peter get some time for a bit before we have two Spider-Men running around

Lol, if this 616 thing is true the guys curating the Marvel Wiki are not going to be happy about it.

No, I just want to know if Hulk did the most logical thing and brought everyone back when he used the Infinity Gauntlet. Personally I think he did, but I want to hear it from Marvel.

I've seen quite a few people wonder about this so I know I'm not the only one.

I'll say this could be like how in CW series they call the main line Earth-1, Zoom's land Earth-2, and Jay Garrick's world Earth-3. It contradicts with wiki entries if you think too hard about them, but they are references to different worlds in comics.
