TBH I don’t know much about Mysterio except for his looks and from the various cartoons. I hope JG plays him with this frightening menace that’s genuinely creepy and scary akin to his Nightcrawler role but not sure if this is how his character truly is in the comics? What are the best mysterio issues to read to know the most about the character?

Can't convey how much I hate this type of bull****. Why do we need to be getting into all this Iron Spider & Stealth nonsense? Homecoming's about as "tech" as Spider-Man should get (much as I actually warmed to that in the context of the actual film, just know I won't be with this).

Just so damn unnecessary. It's one thing for Tony Stark to tinker with his suits and try new things whenever he has an idea, that's who he is, but this comes off the same as Cap switching up costumes every movie (and even then, at least with Cap there are reasons for it between TFA & TA, and TA to TWS). There's no need, just go with something iconic from the get-go and stick with it.

I think the suit looks rather cool. I actually love the fingerless hands/gloves.

I think people sometimes forget that suit changes aren’t just done because “it’d be cool!”, they are done because it means more new toys can be made that kids/adults can buy which is profit for Disney and Marvel.

So can we assume this is the Agents of Shield Spider-man costume. basically stealth ninja Spider-man.

Perhaps the fingerless gloves are so he can stick to walls

Maybe he cobbles it together using parts of a SHIELD swat suit? Though that leads to ask is SHIELD reformed or is this just part of Fury's stash from before they fell?

Well, the green's definitely more apparent in the better pic. Sweet.

The pattern detailing on the cape is a nice tough too, separate it from Thor's a bit. Even in the bright light there the cape looks a little more maroon than Thor's blood-red one too, hope that's the case.

My guess is that its not meant to look as sleek as Tonys spider-man suit. if it given to him from Fury then it will probably have a more Shield feel to it.

But why the hell is Peter of all people so tied to S.H.I.E.L.D. anyway, if that's the way they're going with it?

It's kind of fine for the origin movie, leftover Tony influence/guidance from Civil War, but you want to assert Pete as his own person sooner or later. Always hated linking him to all of this Avengers stuff so heavily in the recent books, Ultimate line etc, so unnecessary.

He's the quintessential "street level" superhero, he shouldn't be getting tech/resources from huge world-spanning government entities and billionaire geniuses as a matter of course.

Mysterio isn't ever really creepy, I mean he could be, but he's a showman. He's ridiculous and over the top. Amazing Spider-Man #13 is his first appearance and a great introduction to him.

Chameleon tends to ape people closely, not like a failed cosplayer. Plus judging from the set videos I doubt it. We see him using his webs to pull on something. Without deterrence I don't see what the point would be in that.
