As to dying and returning...

With their contracts up, I would assume one or both will be dead by the end of Endgame. Which I would hope not to be so, which is also a good thing because it means that I care about whether the characters live or die.
I think they'll split the difference and Tony or Steve will make a big sacrifice in the end. Both have shown the willingness to do so in the past.

That would actually be ….. really lame, but would explain why he's not slinging around in his Iron Spider suit.

The twist will be that Mysterio was a good guy all along... purely because people are expecting it to be a hoax, so that wouldn't be much of a twist.

It's the MCU Ghost all over again.

You could do it the other way around too, and the bus scene at the start of Infinity War was them coming back from their vacation.

This is what I'm thinking. Almost like House of M, in the comics, where Peter had to keep the memories of a world where he married Gwen and they had a son together. He would have to live with the memory of dying, of them losing, and knowing that (potentially) his mentor and pseudo father figure sacrificed himself so that he and the rest could live again. Adding to Peter's burden...and that could make for some good personal drama, even if undoing the snap may seem to cheapen Infinity War's ending.

I still would like to see Liz become an MCU version of Beetle (The Janice Lincoln version). Would be a very interesting dynamic for her, Peter, and Mr. Toomes.

Anyway, late to the party, but: Somebody please tell me what in God name does this movie has anything to do with Spiderman. Homecoming not only was teh worst Spiderman movie, but it was the one that least resembled anything to do with Spiderman.
This one seems to be even worse, it could be literally be a trailer about any other character, i dont see Spiderman or Parker, it seems like a generic, random souless blockbuster that just happen to be named after a beloved character.
