I’m hoping We can finally see an accurate Version of the character from a power and ability standpoint. I still don’t even know what Spider-Man in the MCU can actually do With all the high tech suits and everything what is his actual power level. He seems to be severely underpowered compared to his comic book counterpart which can be extremely irritating. The general audience seem to have no idea how deadly of a character he is when you take a look at everything he brings to the table with his brains powers and one of the most versatile weapons in the marvel world.

Yet for whatever reason he gets bunched into that category of captain America daredevil Wolverine even notches below them if the movies are anything to go by even though his powers and abilities should have him standing tall on a much higher pedestal.

I just wish they would stop using him as comic relief and do their research with his abilities and powers and use him as a bit more of a threat.

Here’s to him finally getting some respect in his up coming film. This rant has nothing to do with Holland because I love what he brings to the table for the character. He seems to have a genuine appreciation and love for playing the role and it shows in his work.

I sure do hope the mid or post credits for this film set up something big for all of phase 4 or beyond

gonna be kinda disappointed if it doesn't.

Now why would a dead person age? :p

Has there been any news about when we may get a second trailer? It seems like we are due for a new one being only about 3 months out and being that end game has now came out.

Scooper Daniel Richtman said on Patreon that the Second trailer drops on May 6 but nothing is confirmed yet

I'll be perfectly honest, I wasn't a huge fan of Spider-Man Homecoming. I get it was playful compared with the others, but something was..... missing.

Since Tom Holland is so young it actually would have made more sense to give him the origin story and Andrew Garfield can jump straight into Spider Man.

I would be interested in were it goes next, I'm not invested in this third version particularly, but that could change.

Ur probably never gonna have a version that pleases everyone -especially as we move along and have different actors in the role.

Whoever gets the role first has the big advantage of not having to be compared to past portrayals.

I think the goal for Marvel and Sony was more about their vission and the kinds of stories they're most interested in telling and how that version of Spidey best fits in w.the MCU. So its about pleasing themselves first anf being true to their vission then u present it to the public and hope for the best.

I think by and large they have succeeded in pleasing most fans. I think by every measurable criteria they have its pretty much been a hit so I'm not aure they're as eager to change things up how u suggeated.

And I for one and LOVED Homecoming!

So...
Do you think it's possible that Tony might have left one final gift for Peter? Or maybe even a recorded message? I really wanna see how they'll have Peter deal with his father figure's death.

As of right now, this is the end of mcu spidey, right? and the film is already done. So what kind of ending so we expect?

I'm thinking peter will continue being spider man but focus on protecting NY. If sony renews a contract then he can return for Avengers 5 and if not then the films just have time to explain where he is and why he isn't around during certain events

Preach.
I think the Russos seem to understand his power level than the people behind Homecoming. I mean, in Civil War, he held his own against Cap, he owned Falcon and Bucky at the same time, and he delivered a couple of solid blows to Giant Man. Also, in Infinity War, Cull Obsidian is whooping up on Iron Man, and Peter just CAUGHT his big Ax/Hammer thing, and starts a conversation like it's nothing...proving his strength. Also, having him punch Thanos and actually roll him a bit when Tony had to nano-hammer him to get any traction says a lot. Add to that that Peter was never incapacitated for the entire fight, and it lets you know he's no slouch.

Then you have Homecoming. He gets trounced by both Shockers, and I don't think he ONCE hit Vulture that he even felt it. Also, normal thugs taking several hits from him like he's an 8 year old girl. Peter can lift a car, and he had to be distracted or off his game to even BE hit by something with his agility and speed. CW showed this pretty well. Homecoming, he got hit by everything.

Sorry...end of rant.

huh. which end?
It was a 6 movie deal: Civil War, Homecoming, Infinity War, Endgame and Far from Home makes 5.
Still 1 to go

I hope Venom won’t make them rethink renewing the deal... I feel like that BO was a fluke.

And Spidey has been too great in the MCU to revert back to Sony only.

I had read a couple of times that it was a 5 movie deal with Far From Home being the last appearance

I've seen people saying Tony's death will be Peter's Uncle Ben moment in the MCU. I'm like "noooooooo, you're missing the whole point." Peter Parker throughout his history in comics, movies, games, has had a spotty history with keeping father figures. They either die, or turn into villains.

Uncle Ben, Captain Stacy, Curt Connors, Norman Osborn, Ezekiel, Jameson Sr., Otto Octavius, his dad, I'm probably missing some. Tony should be another one to add to the tragedy. But then again they haven't been keen on exploring that kind of side to being Spider-Man, my fear is they'll dump it all on Tony in FFH. Mention them both and I'll be happy.

That's what I want. I want Peter to talk to May about already losing Uncle Ben and now Tony. A nice emotional scene between the two of them

So now that Tony has died, we definitely have to deal with those ramifications in Far From Home, which makes me think Uncle Ben wont be dealt with in this trilogy at all. There kinda isn't room for any of that. Which is okay, Endgame was so damn perfect that whatever Far From Home is, I'm cool with it
