Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

Thor: In Space
Captain Marvel: Unavailable
Hawkeye: Getting a new haircut
Daredevil: Cancelled
Punisher: You're kidding right?

Not to mention the show constantly using stock footage. Especially during the later seasons. It became pretty jarring when you suddenly see Spidey and other characters in environments that looked nothing like the setting they were in. Hell when Spidey fought Doc Ock and Lizard in later seasons, they'd often use footage from those villains' debut episodes.

Lmfao. I can’t believe I forgot about that. At times it felt like they used one webswinging sequence for every single shot .

:funny:

The show could have been so much better if Fox didn’t have this ban on Spider-Man hitting people. The censorship killed that show.

Lol loved the show at the time though and Spider-Man was spot on and the voice was great for him .
They used the more violent attack of swing kick more often to compensate for the lack of punches, and some characters struck with their elbows.

It's both amusing and jarring to me.

I'll add that some episodes move at a real fast paced, dumping too much information in one scene, and the editing is a jumbled mess.

The feels.
Tom Holland in this image kinda looks like that kid portraying Cyclops in the current line of X-Movies.

All reasons why Spectacular Spider-Man is the superior Spider-man animated series. Man...I miss that show.

Man, I loved this trailer. I love the fact that the MCU is all in on Spidey being the main hero and filling Iron-Man's shoes.
I find it weird, but Iron Man jr was building up to this.

Indeed, and indeed.

Honestly it’s not even close either. Spectacular was levels ahead of all the other shows. It’s a damn shame that the show didn’t continue because there was so much untapped potential.

Also, it did all of that while only playing in the Spider-man sandbox. No FF, Avengers, X-Men, nothing. Just Spidey. That's pretty amazing. Also, that Master Planner saga...and the Venom Saga...wow. Not to mention the final curtain at the end.

I wanna bet it's cut for the trailer. They tend to do that a lot.

But if not? that's gonna be bizarre.

Booked my tickets for Far From Home! so pumped! Hope the multiverse reveal isn't a fakeout and just a troll by Mysterio. I could see it being a double bluff. Maybe Mysterio is lying but the post credit scene reveals he was actually telling the truth and there is a multiverse he just wasn't from it.

Skipping this at theatres and waiting for the video release or disney + could suck but eh just a quick more couple of months.

I'm not skipping because of the movie but just decided theatres isn't for me anymore

It is potentially part of the MCU plan, but don't put too much stock in the multiverse being true.

Same here.

Indeed.

I really miss spectacular spider man and avengers earths mightiest heroes cartoons.
Same here, these were peak Marvel animated shows.

On that note, I'll start by saying it feels nice to be back in a place where I don't feel like I have to catch every upcoming MCU film in theaters. Being that this is Sony, I trust that I'll be able to comfortably watch this On Demand by this time next year without even worrying about being behind. (Next MCU release is supposed to be May 2020, right?)

None of this is to say that this doesn't look fun, because it does. I like how much they're pulling at the legacy thread with Stark and forcing Peter to choose (as much as he can, anyway, because obviously it looks like he has little choice) if this is really the kind of life he wants; I'm sure lots of longtime Spider-Man fans are going to hate this, but the whole motif feels very "With great power..."

Jon Watts seems to confirm the Multiverse is real dont know if this is spoiler or not since its coming from the director himself.

Fandango: Let's get to the most important question: Does Far From Home introduce the Multiverse to the MCU?

Jon Watts: Well, I mean, yeah. We had to look at it in terms of the scope of what happened at the end of Endgame. Seeing all the crazy things that they did and all the questions that raises. So we're definitely trying to answer one of the big ones -- alternate timelines. So many possibilities opened up at the end of Endgame, and Peter Parker is one of the few people on the ground dealing with them.

Fandango: Are you able to explain the rules of this multiverse in terms of how it differs from the Spider-Verse that we were introduced to inInto The Spider-Verse?

Jon Watts: I wouldn't dare! I'll let Nick Fury do that.

so at the end of the trailer, we see spidey in a pre-stark outfit swinging holding a phone. behind him is the building from avengers 1.

you think it's gonna pan up to reveal an "oscorp" logo on top of it?

That would make sense. As much as I would love it to be the baxter building the key thing to remember is the plot point of who bought stark tower was revealed in a spider-man movie. Making Osborn the most likely buyer.

He also said that the Elementals are from another Earth

Mysterio's whole niche is trolling people and making people believe what he wants them to believe. He's also a Special FX expert

So obviously Peter's main story arc will lead to him realizing that he isn't the new iron man and shouldn't be but instead be a proud new hero as Spider- Man and make a legacy of his own and doesn't need Tony's tech.

I just hope that's not all saved for the ending and instead be a thing half way though the film or like in the final act. I want him suiting up in non stark suits to be big moments and final showdown being him stepping up big time
