Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

Because it's something Feige always wanted to do. He said before that he always wanted to show Aunt May finding out he's Spider-Man
Yeah, I remember him saying he wanted to put that on film for years- and it was a great moment in the comics and in the movie. But I've said it before and some told me it wasn't a big deal, but I still beg to differ that not showing any of the aftermath or just playing it for the laughs does it a disservice.

It just goes to show more of this Peter not having enough consequences for being Spider-Man if he just gets to keep going on being Spider-Man with 100% support from Aunt May no questions asked. From what it looks like in the FFH trailer, it in fact makes his life a whole lot easier than it already is. I just need a little more dramatic weight, and maybe we'll get a moment in FFH but the actual post reveal conversation would have been a great thing to see on film.

Just watched the trailer again, and I have to say, I'm looking forward to the Venice sequence the most. Not only does it seem like a cool action set piece, but it can also be a really interesting character piece for Peter as he tries to solve this situation not only on his own, but without the mask. Especially since up until that point Peter seems to be avoiding having any kind of responsibility as Spider-Man on this trip. How does he react when the world won't let him? Lot of interesting character stuff I hope they don't skip out on.

fair enough, but that should be something that should happen years down the line, like in the comics. It happening so soon had virtually no impact and it seems will be glossed over

I was just *saying why they made that choice. I didn't necessarily agree with it

This is kind of weird but I love how fishbowl-y his helmet is. They didn't even try to make it look like, I don't know, a biker helmet or something. It's just a glass ball.
It's great, I love it. I always shake my head at the fan redesigns that try to make it look cool like a Daft Punk helmet- keep the goofy fishbowl dangit!! Very happy with the fishbowl lol.

I honestly expected them to contour it differently or just "movie it up" a little more. The fact it is so close to the comics is just incredible.

You know someone pointed this all out when the trailer dropped... they’re are more nods within this trailer for comic issue appearances.

So what happens to Tom Holland and Spider-Man after homecoming?

Images of the LEGO set boxes, 3 sets.

The Mysterio minifigure looks great, kinda cool we get a Peter Parker figure with the mask half on.

If there's any question of who the monsters are supposed to be these should answer that.
Just like was reported from the leaks, the sets include Hydro-Man and Molten Man. Not a fan of the set that's just a giant Stark airplane, getting a little sick of that name lol.

Interesting....

So I was thinking about if and when they decide to bring back Green Goblin. Do you think they will try to update his look so he doesn't look like a Skrull?

God, imagine that makeup on Willem Dafoe... With a purple/green costume. Might make the 1st Raimi movie my favorite comic book movie ever :cwink:

I always forget that the Skrulls do look a lot like the Green Goblin. Goblin should look a lot more scary than them though, give him the purple/green costume and a more scary looking face and that's all you need IMO.

In this universe, I could see Osborn modeling his costume off the Skrulls somehow. Say he's a defense contractor for the gov't, and he was privy to some intel about the skrulls. Or commissioned to find a way to fight against them. And that's what prompts all the goblin stuff.

Then Spidey, not knowing anything about the skrulls, calls him a green goblin.

Not saying I love the idea, but I could see that being the direction Marvel takes it.

Monday big chances for a new trailer
Already? Avengers isn't even out yet and this comes out in July. I feel like April or May would make more sense for the final trailer. Then again I think Sony released 3 trailers for Homecoming where Marvel Studios usually only does 2.
