I'm just waiting for a Spider-Man villain with no connection to Peter and one who doesn't know who he is. I know that's a big thing with Spider-Man and his rogues gallery, but Vulture and Mysterio are two that really don't need a connection to him.

Second trailer in and I'm still hoping this is all bs. It still looks like it's just an episode of Ultimate Spider-man. I'm still skeptical of how they will pull of Mysterio. I've no real fear he's not a villain, but I'm more worried now on how they will handle him and his abilities.

The MJ moment was disappointing. It's not her figuring it out, it's the lazy way they do it. It does devalue the idea of a secret identity and makes him look totally incompetent. Also that's a major spoiler in the movie. Were Sony left in charge of marketing?

Maybe these won't be actual issues in the movie itself, but I've been down this road too many times to try and kid myself at this point.

The secret identity issue is a bit annoying. I’m use it it at this point because I was such a die hard supporter of USM back in the day. I remember his mask coming off almost every other issue during those days.

I do understand how it could really piss some people off though.

It's hardly the only movie to movie inconsistency in the MCU

Kind of like how Tony retired at the end of AOU but then wasn't in Civil War.

I’m guessing the multiverse thing is just Mysterio’s bull****, which could be an interesting take. He’d essentially be using the trauma of a cataclysmic event to prop himself up as the world’s latest, greatest hero (probably the “new iron man” as the trailer mentions)

I don't know if I want Mysterio being a good guy in this. Though he likely turns at the end.

I don't think he'll ever have been the 'good guy', he's lying all the way through.

Have to admit, I wasn't very interested prior to this trailer - but wow, it changed my tune and seriously hit me right in the feels in the beginning. Looks like we're going full bore with the multi-verse stories with that whole Counterpart angle they're playing with now.

No, the Ancient One clearly mentioned the Multiverse in it. The Dark Dimension itself is another dimension within the multiverse.

Don't know about anyone else. My issue is whether Mysterio is truly from the multiverse and has powers as opposed to a con-man/illusionist from the prime reality. Not whether there is a multiverse at all.

I'm pretty sure the Ancient One mentioned a multiverse. We even got to see one of the different universes, Dormammu's dimension.

I like how he rejected Tony's Iron-Spider suit at the end of Homecoming but now he's wearing it and fighting regular crime with it. I don't mind but I find it funny.

He had to wear it in space for infinity war and endgame. It wouldn't make sense now for him to reject it after getting used to it. Especially with

I hope we get more of an explanation about what Fury's been up to since SHIELD collapsed. He just kinda shows up places and does the same thing he would have before, if SHIELD was all the same.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he knows Beck is a phony all along. And he uses Spidey to get closer to him to help take him down. That would be a twist within a twist that would work for audiences who know Beck is full of ****, and those who don't know who he is.

They could've easily had him teleport inside the ship with Strange. In fact, now that I think about it, him being trapped outside was really contrived. It was clearly written to give him the suit.
