Far From Home Spider-Man: Far From Home General Discussion and Speculation - Part 2

So I’m seeing video clips online of a minor incident when Tom was signing autographs. Some girl was getting smooshed against a barricade by guys pushing to get to Tom for autographs on their posters. He told them to stop, then threw their posters on the ground and then gave her a hug, apparently.

It’s floating around on Instagram but has swearing (Tom says “I’m gonna throw your s—t on the ground if you don’t stop pushing that girl”).

If true i respect him for helping her, autograph stalkers can go overboard and ruin it for the ones who just want to meet the actors.

I like how my baltimore ravens do autograph sessions now, they only take children and if enough time is left maybe adults.

Grown ass men who assault young girls just to get an autograph to sell on Ebay are parasites. I hope someone breaks their legs.

dam man Sony is releasing to many clips just seen one last night during SC and I tried to change channel but seen it anyway so now MJ know he is Spider-Man

come on its getting out of hand he might as well not wear a suit at this point

They show it in the second trailer, lol.

Peter: MJ... I…
MJ: …am Spider-Man?
Peter: No. Of course not.
MJ: I mean... it's kind of obvious.

4 mins shorter than Homecoming :o

But who cares, Mysterio!!!!

EXCLUSIVE: Tom Holland reveals he was meant to have a cameo in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse | JOE.co.uk

JOE spoke to Spidey himself, Tom Holland, and his Spider-Man: Far From Home co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, ahead of the film's release next week.

Far From Home is actually the second Spider-Man film to be released in the last twelve months - the end of 2018 brought us the superlative animated adventure Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, which saw various different Spider-Men and Women team up across dimensions.

It was filled with in-jokes and references to different versions of the character - which would've been the perfect set-up for cameos from previous Spider-actors past or present. Co-director Rodney Rothman has previously said he wrote scenes for Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, but the idea was nixed.

Now Tom Holland has spoken about what his scene was going to be.

"At one point I was supposed to be in it," Holland confirms to JOE. "There was going to be another Peter Parker… There was like a scene in a train station or something, and it was going to be like an Easter egg. I was going to walk through the background or something, and say like 'Hey, kid.'"

"Never happened. Heartbroken."

Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned inHomecoming and Far From Home, said he also petitioned to play the same role in Into The Spider-Verse: "I tried to throw my hat in for Ganke. I was trying to hit up Amy [Pascal, producer of the movie]."

(Quickly, for the non-nerds out there: Batalon plays a character based on Ganke, Peter Parker's best friend from the Ultimate Spider-Man series, who is confusingly renamed Ned in the MCU. Ganke appeared in a non-speaking role in Spider-Verse).

Tom Holland was full of praise for Into The Spider-Verse, and even said he was worried that it would overshadow his live-action Spidey films. "It was so good. It was so funny. And I was so stressed when it came out! It was really awesome."

He went on to say what a big fan of Shamiek Moore's performance as Miles Morales, and hopes to see Miles in the MCU soon. "He’s really really good in it. But I’m just excited to introduce Miles into our own universe one day. I think that’s going to be really good."

For some reason, the IMAX theater near me isn't doing reserved seating for any of their Tuesday showings, but they are for every other day :loco:

Can't tell if it's a mistake or not, but every ticketing site for the theater is saying the same thing, which is annoying. Might have to go to the actual theater and check it out, if only it wasn't so out of the way.
