Welp, there goes my crazy predictions for FFH in China at least. After seeing Venom do nearly 300 I thought FFH could do similar numbers, especially following End Game. But that's not going to be the case unless FFH somehow has amazing legs which China isn't known for(with Hollywood movies anyways).

200 million in China should still be doable though. But I have to drop my prediction to 1.2 billion now because of this info. I'm still aiming high but if I'm wrong then so be it.

Haven bought my ticket yet since I am waiting on the Preview Night. This movie should do well still riding the wave of Avengers. Haven't seen anything on the tv for it though with the NBA finals wrapping up they don't have any big sporting events to attach spots to.

FWIW i don't think this movie will gross more than Cap Marvel even if it is extremely well received. Competition matters when it comes to boxoffice and Cap Marvel did not have as much as what FFH is gonna have.

I still think it will clear a billion though.

My house it totally pumped for this film! For what it's worth, I'm happy I get paid the Friday BEFORE it debuts, so there's no "oops, gotta wait 'til payday" summer shenanigans! Just going to go opening night, and LOVE IT! I even did my own little FFH tribute art! (see avatar) So pumped!

This is good...but tbh, $150M should be it tracking for a normal 3-day weekend. $150M for 6-days seems a bit on the low side.

Thanks, man! I had a lot of fun doing it...but then again, Spidey is my favorite character to draw.

I'm hoping it does some killer numbers. If I could have another movie happen where people don't utter "superhero fatigue", that would be great. Thanks to Dark Phoenix, we're closer to hearing that again than ever.

Iron Man is approximately 6 feet below ground level in upstate New York...and that is a Venom DUCK. The rights to Venom goose are currently in litigation.

Chinese Drama ‘Better Days,’ Yanked From Berlin Lineup, Has Its China Release Canceled

Better days may be a long way off yet for the embattled Chinese drama “Better Days,” which has canceled its mainland China release just three days before the film was to hit theaters. The movie was also pulled at the last minute from the Berlin Film festival lineup in February amid tightening control by China’s censorship regime.

Early Monday evening in China, the film’s official Weibo social media account apologized to expectant viewers for the inconvenience, saying: “After considering the level of completion of ‘Better Days’ and our market pre-assessments, and following consultations between the production and distribution parties, the film will not be released on June 27. A new release date will be announced at a later time.”
