I said it was wrong because the movie isn't great or very good, it is in fact bad. I tried watching it again recently and I couldn't even watch it anymore.

It is a fanboy thing, as much as its not a criticism because its Trek, its a criticism for being a bad movie in general. Things are not thought up, things are underdeveloped, overdeveloped, or not developed at all. Common sense is thrown out the window; it violates the show don't tell rule movies have, and in the end, a list of missed opportunities.

Its a list of things that make me not call it Star Trek into Darkness; instead, I call it by its real name: Star Trek into Dumbness.
