So will they destroy the Enterprise already? Since it was revealed that there was indeed another Enterprise that was decommissioned a short time before the 09 film, will Kirk and co take over on an earlier Enterprise (Which is actually the more classic Constitution class vessel of the Prime universe)?

Really? I've never heard anything about this?

Countdown to Darkness published over the past few months. The other ship was Robert April's ship. Peter Weller's character Admiral Marcus was his first officer.

I know they arent going to use the same song from 09's final trailer, but I would love that to be used here.

Well, now I can't un-see that. :o

^^^
Not exactly Starfleet regulation sideburns on young Captain Kirk there huh?

When I heard this film was gonna have a terrorism element because it was a relevant thing in our world right now, I thought we had gone past that and it was unnessary.

After today, I realized this film will indeed be relevant with today's times.

Speaking to Hollywood Reporter, a rep from Paramount straight up admits that they are trying to "get away from the Trekness of it all" in the marketing and emphasize how earthbound the film is.

100% of the reason why I'd rather see Trek return to the small screens rather than getting a film every half decade or so.

Yeah, I don't watch/like Star Trek for the "earthbound" stuff.

Yet Star Trek 4 is one of the more popular movies and its earthbound.

If they want the Abrams universe to be the new canon, then at least make an animated show or something set in the universe.

I can't in good conscience see this movie now. I can't add another dime to Orci's pocket.

He doesn't see a dime from BO gross. He's already been paid.

But he is being extremely stupid
