But the each book occurs right after the other while othe star wars movies occur more than 1 year after the other.
They could mix Thrawn Trilogy with Dark Empire and possibly end with the return of the jedi academy
Yeah if you wanted 12 hour movies.

Lmao! A fanboy's wet dream.

Bale as Chewy is pure genius.
I know, right? :hehe:

I love Thrawn Trilogy though, it would be awesome if they made a movie just as it is. I dont think there's much waste there, it should all be kept in. I shoul re-red it to refresh my memory :awesome:

I wouldn't mind what they are doing with a lot of the DC Comics Movies such as Under the Red Hood, Public Enemies, etc., they should do some sort of Anime/CGI, Regular Animation with some of the books. Would love to see Dark Empire in that style of Art or the Heir to the Empire Series in animated form.

The fight scenes were fantastic as well as the larger scale battle scenes.

Ehhh.

Some pretty effects but I never cared for who was fighting. Digital clones can shoot at digital droids all day but for what end? Even within the film universe both sides are utterly disposable.

The action pretty much gets less and less involving with every prequel (I think because there is gradually less interaction between the actors and sets/props). By the time of the big volcano fight, neither Anakin or Ben care in the slightest where they are, so why should I? A setting is as dangerous as the actors portray, and they may as well have been fighting on a platform covered in blue mats.

exactly my thoughts. Give us shadows of the empire and the thrawn trilogy in animated form. The list of literature that could be used goes on and on.

Mark Hamill liked to do voice work so...........

I thought it would be cool to have alot of books and such adapted into animated movies. But I would love a animation kind of like the TOR cutscenes. I think CG works much better with SW than standard 2D. I love the cutscenes Lucasarts has for their games.

Only 45 days until the blu-ray release of the Saga :awesome:

I can't wait! :awesome: Although I have to admit. I'm going to be a little disappointed if they don't fix some stuff for this release. Still...It's the Star Wars Saga on blu-ray...:awesome:

BTW...Anyone else getting the new Star Wars version of the Xbox 360?

I have an Xbox 360 and Kinect already, but I got the Kinect for free and my Xbox 360 is a launch version (20gb hdd, no hdmi). I was already thinking of getting a new 250gb Xbox 360. I actually ordered one from Amazon.co.uk and cancelled my order a few minutes later. Thought I should wait a while. I'm glad I did. I'll give my current Kinect to my brother and I will probably give my Xbox 360 to my cousin, for her kids.

Bale for Thrawn.

And yeah, I'll definitely get the Artoo 360 if they end up selling it without Kinect.

That would have been cool to see in person.

I'd chop off my right arm and left leg to go to something like that.

I hope to get one. I wanted to sell my 360 to get some money saved for this, but I don't know if there's an easy way to transfer data. So I'm going to sell some games and start saving, keep the old one as a backup and use the HDD. It's smaller, but it's barely used anyway.

I could do without Kinect, but I guess it could be worse. At least it's a full blown Star Wars package, you know? I expect that game to be awful, but at least it fits the theme and it's not a random, awful game instead.

Unlike I get a catastrophic failure in my 360, I'm not upgrading to the Star Wars one. :(

If the animation is like The Old Republic trailers I'm with you...as much as I love both Clone Wars series one thing that always comes back to bug me is the animation style (which kills me since I love(d) everything else about both series (incompetent Grievous aside for the 2008 series)...

three SW horror themed games I'd like to see, which would essentially be the same but in a different period:
-something in the KOTOR era dealing with the Rakghouls
-something in the Geonosis era deadling with the Geonosis brain worms
-something in the OT era dealing with the Death Troopers virus. (the Galaxies expansion makes me want a full game!...due it lucasarts I'd bite)

the first 2 I could picture with RE4-5 gameplay

So....the fans who give your ****ing dad money dont matter? ****.

Maybe if he used those critques on his movies in a postive way...you know...listened, then he wouldnt be hated. Hell, i'd respect the man more for making mistakes. And I aint talkin about no geek crap. Just basic filmmaking tactics.

After Episode 1- "Hey Lucas, add more character and heart! Also, make the actors ACT more!"

"Ok fans!"

And then Episode 2 is better. And so on and so on.

But no. He has this "MY WAY OR HIGHWAY" approach that makes him incredibly unlikable.

im curious if the new blu ray has the extended scenes for the original trilogy. you know how they like to put out the extended after the theatrical.

I don't dislike Lucas for his awful film-making later on. If you had the power to make something just the way you wanted you'd do just that; and he's smart not to listen to fans complaining on the internet because it's where all the hate is vented.

I think he did listen to fans, when N*Sync shot stuff for the movie.

wow I like how you read into that and added to it.

"My dad doesnt read anything on the internet nor does he care to."
Doesnt sound like he is ignoring his fans. Just that there is a lot of *****ing and moaning on the internet that blows things out of proportion. Should he personally address every problem someone had with the prequels??
The fact that people are complaining about him and the movies on his daughter's twitter should be more than enough reason for him to ignore the internet

I personally dont find him unlikable, on the contrary. He always appears to be a very humble funny guy; he could easily be a prick due to his success.

Star Wars is his creation though. We're only along for the ride. In fact i have a lot of respect for Lucas because he told the story he wanted to tell and didnt go the safe route of doing what fans wanted. Heck, fans all wanted different things to begin with, so that would have been impossible lol. I honestly think there would be complaining regardless of what he did or who he cast. Just my opinion though.

^
They should listen to you.

Star Wars is Lucas' creation. Let him do what he wants.

It's not like Star Wars is a DC or Marvel property.

The internet is some unending debate about the prequels. You know what I respect about George Lucas? He made the movies he wanted. He doesn't need "fans" telling him what THEY want. Didn't like them? Awesome. But you don't need to keep telling the world how much you hated them or want Lucas to admit to something that he's never going to admit to.

And guess what? The people who complain the most about the prequels are probably the first ones to buy the blu-ray only to complain about them again. It's unending.
