Star Wars 2.0 - Part 1.5 Chapter III: Revenge of the Thread - Part 2

Yeah, man. The only problem with the film is the romance. But even that, for me at least, isn't that bad. At least it's cut up and we get to see Obi-Wan's investigation and some great action sequences.

The soundtrack is a little eerie as well, and fits the mystery well. I also love the look of Coruscant, too. I was so glad they showed as much as they did in this, and I have to admit a little disappointed we didn't see a little more, or even more of the Clone War.

Bim actually mentioned before, but I've been ill and I couldn't reply, about Revenge of the Sith the trailer showing the Wookies and honestly, and don't get me wrong I do enjoy Revenge of the Sith as well, I was disappointed we didn't see more of that or more of the Clone War overall. This big war that Yoda made a point of bringing to our attention again ("Begun, the Clone War has." - Cue awesome scene!), and we got little bits. I know it's Anakin's fall and more of his and Obi-Wan's story at that point, but the film a little longer and some more or the war, especially Kashyyyk (and my second favourite planet Mygeeto >->) and it would have been awesome. In my opinion, of course.

Casual scenes might not have fit like they did in Attack of the Clones, I suppose.

But yeah, put the romance aside and focus on the mystery and Obi-Wan's investigation, the music, the look and atmosphere of Coruscant at the start of the film and that great scene with Yoda, the Younglings and Obi-Wan looking for a missing planet and it's a thrill to watch. :yay:

Sorry if I went on a bit.

I have to disagree. I actually like the romance in EP2. I think most people were expecting something more like what Han and Leia had in EP5. But in my opinion their romance needed to be much more powerful than what we saw with Han and Leia. It needed to obvious that Anakin was willing to do anything. and that's how it came across to me.

My friend's son is 7, and he loves Star Wars. His mother (who I've been friends with since we were 12), hates Star Wars and seems annoyed that she has to deal with it. My mom had laughed over it because she remembers how crazy I was about it at the same age, and my friend asked her how she "dealt" with it, like it was a disease she had to put up with. My mom told her to just enjoy it, since it makes him happy and it's not hurting anyone, and she reminded her that before she knows it, he'll have outgrown it and she'll realize that she misses those days.

My mom is awesome.

Outgrow Star Wars? Blasphemy! I've loved it since I was 8 or 9 and I still love it at 20, almost 21.

It's one of the best franchises ever, George Lucas was able to have the type of originality that Tolkien had with his middle-earth books and that Rowking would have some years later, that's what i like in Star Wars.
And the fact that it's the only franchise where characters can use lightsabers :oldrazz:

Star Trek as well, but man, the finales of thos emovies just do not have the same impact of Sw, and that is down the the lightsabres, that ending to the JJ ST movie would have automatically been ten times better if Kirk and Spock had beamed aboard the enemy ship with lightsabres.

some folk accused that Star Trek reboot of being too 'Star Wars', and i think that was a fair critisicm to an extent, whether that's a positive or negative is up to your own taste, but that finale was very like a lightsabre battle without lightsabres, with them leaping about on multi-levelled platforms. I guess there is only so much you can do with the sci-fi battle finales though.

Wow, almost 21!

Try 46 and still loving it! :cwink: :woot:

I too recently came back from Disney World and must say the upgraded Star Tours is awesome! Only sad thing is we went on it 8 times and never got Naboo! :csad: and only got Kayysssk (however it's spelled) once. But, I have to say, I was really geeking out on the ride!

I got Kashyyyk and Naboo together...

from what I read the only thing I missed in my 4 times on the ride were
the
Yoda message
, I got Leia 3 times and Ackbar once, and in all 4 rides I got all the planets...

The Kashyyyk and Naboo ride was my favorite of the 4 times I rode...

the 1st was Tatooine / Geonosis,
the 2nd was Hoth / Geonosis,
the 3rd was Kashyyyk / Naboo,
and the 4th was Hoth / Coruscant...

does the training academy only take kids? I was ready to jump on stage...

Hellion: sounds like u had urself some fun! I hope i get to it eventually; i need to start planning a trip with my next vacation time.

DCW: yeah, that's a cool moment, although it kinda surprised me when i first saw it, was a bit brutal lol

:funny: i dont think i want a bunch of fanboys perving over me like that. I could have rocked it in my 20's but i wouldnt punish them with that now lol. I'd show a pic of me back then, but the oldest one i have at hand in my photobucket i'm 31. I\ve never posted my picture in the forum before though, and that would totally blow my cover hahaha.

It should be a crime when a parent doesnt introduce their child to SW when they're little. I'm biding my time with my niece cause she just turned one, but that's coming ;)

Thanks Bim, first vacation I've had in years...and it was awesome...

...I don't get why Leia gets so much love, I've always been more of an Oola boy myself...heck, even Greeata lol

...and myself I tried to convert all younglings (sorry LOL) to Star Wars or try to, my previous job I worked with kids, and tried always to get them into Star Wars, well at least tried to get the boys into SW...

I missed the Yoda message too and we went on it 4 times. :(

And I wanted to have my picture taken at the Endor bunker but I was told it was off limits. :( x 1,000

i live in Orlando and I have yet to go on it :(

Check this baby out :awesome:

. The nine-disc collection brings the saga home in high definition and with 6.1 DTS Surround Sound. The discs will feature over 40 hours of special features, including never-before-seen content. You can view the full specs here.

I see in that new trailer that the shot of Luke and Vader's blades clashing in front of Palpatine's face looks correct.

That new trailer got me so pumped, all the sabers look great!

Who the heck is that chick Han is kissing in the Cantina though?I dont think i've ever seen or heard about that deleted scene before! :wow:

I could be mistaken, but I think that was his girlfriend.

In the ANH novelization, there was a girl on his lap when Chewie brought Luke and Ben over to their table.

:wow: at the new trailer. And it's coming out on a Friday in the US...is it wrong that I was considering taking it as a vacation day from work? :oldrazz:

The day when the special effects of both trilogies are equal in look and magnitude is when I buy a full saga set.

Not that Bria chick, right? damn, i need to re-read those Han books to refresh my memory, and also the ANH novelization since i had totally forgotten about that. I cant even remember the last time i read it. :o

danoyse: not at all! sounds right to me. I know once that baby is in my hands i'm going on seclusion until i see all of those extra features :awesome:

Cut that big picture in half, I don't recognize the existence of the prequel movies.
