It doesn't mean it should be done.

Go with new characters. I don't even think George would make the decision of recasting Han, Luke or Leia.

I guess after years of some defending the prequels and declaring these films to be lucas's vision and where the films were mesnt to go to have him then sell them and to have the franchise go somewhere else must feel like betrayal.

How is this in anyway depressing? Especially after the prequels. I have lived through bad SW movies. If I get one great one out of this, it will be worth it imo.

Completely agreed, as a huge fan the series I left EP3 thinking that it hit rock bottom creatively. Worst case scenario more bad SW movies which I was already resigned to, but if this results in good SW movies then hell yes.

I'm currently in one of the few places with power in the tri-state area due to Hurricane Sandy, and I don't even know when I'll be able to go home or back to work.

Exactly. I've been a SW fan since the beginning, and for a good long time I always thought that SW only belonged in Lucas' hands. JJ's Star Trek reboot was what made me realize how freaking awesome a new take on Star Wars would look.

Uh disney has released the deal to the public, lucas has made a video statement. Its done. Disney owns lucasfilm and all its property. Star Wars is no longer under Lucas control. Disney has a new trilogy planned and a live action series in the works. The first film comes out in 2015. Have you not read the news?

Skeptical of what? Lucas isnt directing, isnt writting the script, and does not have final day. Star Wars is disneys baby now. Its all in black and white

I thought it was a joke headline too when I saw it on Facebook. I was WTF?
