haha Disney is seriously the Empire now, and all the other studios are the Rebels.right now every studio but Disney is readjusting its 2015 releases
I kind of want to say 'it's about time' considering Disney has had the Star Tours attaction as well as an Indiana Jones one at Disneyland.
And the Star Wars Weekends, and the Jedi Training shows, which are extremely popular. Ever since the Harry Potter stuff opened at Universal (and they don't release numbers, but I think the attendance records that set kicked Disney World's ass more than they want to admit), fans have been rabid for a Star Wars/Indiana Jones equivalent.
And with the Disney Hollywood Studios park in Orlando desperate for a revamp? This would be amazing.

Haha, Avengers 2, Star Wars 7, Justice League, Ant-Man...2015 is the new 2012! Which probably means JL will be bumped to June 2016, lol.right now every studio but Disney is readjusting its 2015 releases

Yeah, do Avengers and JL have a chance against Star Wars?!
Well Avengers is the same studio now so they wouldn't be so stupid as to have them compete against each other, but I'd imagine WB might be re-thinking their JL plans right about now.Yeah, do Avengers and JL have a chance against Star Wars?!
how do you figure? We may finally get the unaltered original films on bluray!!!
No offense to WB or the JL but they aren't realistically even on their radars. Not to steer off topic in light of this amazing news but the current JL project doesn't have the creative fuel backing it for WB to stand their ground anyway. This is actually a positive for WB in my eyes as they'll have more time to create something more substantial rather than a knee jerk reaction to The Avengers.I see Disney using Star Wars to bully WB out of a 2015 JL release, as where would Justice League fit? Avengers in May, Star Wars in July, Justice League is screwed...

This is terrible.
Disney is an evil imperialist comglomerate.
What makes "Star Wars" so engaging isn't just the six films themselves...but this giant collective community that surrounded it. "Star Wars" was owned by George Lucas...it's creator, a human being...and so he allowed the visuals and sound effects to be used by other creators and fans alike to remix, reevaluate and satirize the property, aiding to create a global phenomeonan.
There was a preschool in Florida that decorated its walls by painting up Disney characters. Disney responded by sueing the school and forcing them to paint over the mural.
So those "Star Wars" fan films and the fan involvement that Lucas has encouraged all these years?
What're the odds that's going to be thrown out the window now that Disney is the omnipotent master?
People are going nuts over this announcement without really thinking it all through.
Well, this is certainly surprising news. I still find it hard to believe we're getting a new Star Wars film. That's kinda hard to wrap my head around. I'm remarkably excited about this, as Star Wars was my first geeky love.

Yeah Disney is so evil they kept every single employee already employed by Lucasfilm. This is terrible.
