What is up you guys and busts/statues?

:applaudThank you somebody finally said it!

I'm not sure what either of you are on about? This is a Star Wars thread, several of us like to buy Star Wars colelctibles in the way some of you buy EU comics and books and play online RPG's, it's all Star Wars just some of us enjoy different things relating to it.
Not exactly Rocket Science. :o

And Hunter, I'm not in love with that bust, so I took a pass.

When Oprah Winfrey launches her new show, Oprah's Next Chapter, one of her first guests will be George Lucas. This news, which I first spotted on Bonnie Burton's Twitter, comes from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. Oprah's Lucas segment will take place at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, CA. Click here for a picture of the two media moguls as seen in the magazine, courtesy of Bonnie Burton.

UPDATE: The official YouTube channel of OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network, has a video highlighting Oprah's Next Chapter's upcoming guests. The first fifteen seconds feature Oprah greeting Lucas, as well as Red Tails cast members Terrence Howard and Cuba Gooding Jr., at Skywalker Ranch.

I wasn't part of the mob, it's pretty much what you see there. In NYC that kind of thing is not too uncommon. I didn't stay for the whole thing. It was pretty cool, I remember the Sith Armour distinctively, I wanted it then and I want it now.

How's the statue? and can you play as Satele Shan and Shae Vizla in the game or are they just part of key story points?

The statue is very nice. Great quality. I'll post some pics when I get the chance.

You can't play as those characters since it's an MMO. You have to create your own. I don't know about Shae Vizla, but as a Jedi Knight, I've spoken a lot of times with Satele.

Here's a pic of my Jedi Knight character. Next to me is Kira Carsen. My padawan.

Star Wars: The Old Republic looks so cool, it makes me mad that the game is not available for consoles!

Well you have a better piece in the same armor design.

I wish I could find one on e bay. :(

Damn, that's a bit steep but the statue's value probably balances it out.

You have got to check out this video!

That is awesome, I love the Sith armor. I'm not into the games but that sequence in the promo for the game that shows Malgus leading a group of Sith warriors against the Jedi makes me wish for a new movie trilogy based around a full on Jedi/Sith war.

Look forward to the pics of your statue.

Ah I see, well with you being a Jedi you wont interact much with the characters on the Sith side I guess.

I like the look of your character, I dig the Jedi in armor concept.

I beg to differ. Star Wars never sucked, only those narrow-minded OT lovers think so.

How is it only when narrowed minded OT lover when he criticizes Return of the Jedi, the Star Wars Christmas Special, the Ewok movies, video games of the early 90s and the special editions of 1997? He wasn't merely talking about the prequels by far.

So what do you guys think the next big thing for Star Wars is going to be after (or during) the 3D release? I imagine Clone Wars will be finished by then, Old Republic won't be new any more, and unless there's some holographic projection format I'm not aware of, the theatrical run of these movies will have run its course (for awhile).

So what's the next logical step? Live action TV show? Spinoff series? A cartoon set between trilogies?

^An animated series set after Return of the Jedi focusing on the rebuilding of the Jedi Order and of the Republic.

That'd be really cool, actually. I don't know why we haven't had more animated SW films come to think of it. Seem like something Lucas would do.

Yeah I don't know why they don't do it in the same way DC make the animated movies as DTDVD, it wouldn't surprise me if they did eventually though and made a Darth Revan animated movie.

Oh god. We're not narrow minded. We just don't like the Prequels. And it's not even the Prequels that bother us any more. (I believe) It's just we can't see the original films in HD. That's a big issue. I don't think it makes Star Wars suck...but it makes it disappointing.

But what do I know, i'm just narrow minded, and love the films I grew up on.

Boba Fett movie directed by Joe Johnston. :woot:
