Man, realizing that a second FU is coming out, I'm not kicking myself in the ass for never finishing the first.

I stopped playing it for the stupidest reason too, I aims to rectify that. Gonna finish the first, and prepare for the second.

I've read that the story is better, but it's the ending that sucks. Either way, I'm still getting it. I can't wait for the demo tomorrow.

I want to get this, the only thing that's keeping me from preordering it on Friday is the fact that IF they're not going to make a 3rd (was that ever confirmed...or just a rumor?) what if the 2nd ends in a cliff hanger?

One main reason being...........I've read the novel and it does end on a cliffhanger.

It's still a rumor. They actually fired a lot of members from the TFU team before the first game was released as well. We're still getting TFU II though. If TFU II sells as well as TFU, I'm sure we'll see TFU III. If not, then maybe we'll just get a novel or graphic novel. Haden Blackman (writer and project lead of TFU) did leave LucasArts though.

This is the latest official response.

"Well I can’t tell you how the game [TFU2] ends because that would ruin it for you, but I can tell you that the timeframe for The Force Unleashed and TFU II is about a year, and there’s still, between that and Episode IV, a couple of years for us to play with."

"So that means no matter how the game ends for Starkiller and Vader for TFU II, we still have some time to figure out how we solidify the canon so that everything makes sense for IV."

"Obviously, if that were to be exposed, it would most likely be a TFU III. I’m just afraid I can’t share what that could be yet because we’re still figuring it out. I cautioned that…the key is that, that time is still left. If we had finished TFU II and we were up against the timeframe, we would probably have been done."

well, I do hope they do part 3 and finish the story.

And then, once the whole story is complete, they make it into some kind of movie. Most likely it would not be a big screen live action film ( although that would be cool ).

But, if it were a CGI-film, similar to the CGI cinematics and trailers for the games, then that would be beyond awesome, imo. I would definitely be interested!

The problem is not having enough time to solidify canon. It's the fact that they possibly might have already broken it beyond repair with this ending.

if Vader happens to be awake when he's captured by the Rebels and taken to Dantooine, the beginning of A New Hope makes no sense at all. The Empire doesn't know that the Rebels have a ****ing secret base on Dantooine!

It seriously sucks we won't be getting a third, considering the whole trilogy aspect of the SW series.
