Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

Downloaded the demo last night and what a upgrade on all the things about the first game. It's Star Wars so the eye candy is always going to be there. The gameplay camera force powers all of that was so in approved from the first game. They even added stuff I never knew I wanted like that combinging force dash with force push or force dash with force lightning. When playing this game you truly feel like one of the baddest force users in the universe.
That was in the first one.

Maybe I never used it or forgot about it but either way its new to me.

Well I was just hoping for a tad bit of diversity in the blade color pat, and honestly all the footage has had him with the blue blade, so I just assumed.

Anybody been able to do the Sith Saber Furry? I'm pretty sure I am doing the ataru strike right but that furry I haven't been able to do it once.

The demo for this is awesome. Everything seems smoother and the graphics are way better. The best part is chopping the limbs off Stormtroopers that is such an improvement.

Yea id assume most of the footage we have seen is a bit later in the game once he was gotten away from Vader. Id assume you'll start the game with red lightsabers and quickly change to blue(or whatever other color you want to go with)

I've heard a lot of negative stuff about the story...anyone know what about it is being so badly received?

Yea iv heard the same things. I think, and this is just a guess, its the way things wrap up at the end. I think some are worried about this fitting in with the canon as well as the first game did. Other than that i dont know and dont want to know until the game comes out.

If the ending sucks then heads will roll if we do not get a conclusion with a third game

Well, anyone who wanted the process of throwing enemies or objects to be more precise is going ti be disappointed, as it's exactly the same--but fortunately, the enemy design (which was the biggest problem in the previous game) appears to have been fixed, so hopefully TFUII will be even better than the first one.

I will say though, that Mindtrick seems sort of unnecessary. It's more effective to just use your other powers. Maybe that'll change as the power levels up.

I love Jedi mind trick it's one of the most hilAarious things about the game. It's really is unnesscary but it adds diversity to the gameplay. If you haven't used it during force fury I strongly advise you should . I don't know if this is common knowledge or not but in the select screen you can see all the moves available. If you haven't already you need to check that out.

You dismember bad guys with the saber in this one? Sweeeeeeeeeet.

When force fury is on, it's pretty hilarious to do a saber-throw and watch the heads pop off a dozen stormtroopers at the same time.

I've done it. If you hit the saber button too slowly the first four times, you'll do a different combo--so while you may want to slow down a little to properly count your presses, don't overdo it. Also, I think you have to wait till the animation for the fourth strike begins before you can do the remaining four button presses.

If the ending is really that bad & if enough people complain how about they do a 6 to 7 hour Expansion like Red Dead & give us a proper conclusion ? If that is the only way to have a proper conclusion then so be it

Finally, you can chop off limbs!

The demo was great. The graphics are phenomonal and I loved the combat. Seeing Starkiller freefalling down the cloning facility on Kamino was awesome.

I really wish the enemies wouldnt vanish right in front of you once you've killed them. I mean i get why they do it, but it just looks off.

I guess I'm the only one that doesn't see how dismemberment adds to the game.

Well, making the player's weapons feel like they logically should is an important part of creating an engaging game. This is most obvious in shooters, where the weapons have to feel fun to fire (and enemies have to respond to being hit) in order to the game to be fun. Designing satisfying weapons is important.

In the previous TFU, it was kind of silly that you would spin your lightsaber around, striking stormtroopers over and over, and nothing would really happen. That's not how a lightsaber works. So, in making the enemies respond to the lightsaber the way they logically should (that is, by getting cut to shreds), it becomes more satisfying to use. It's certainly not a dealbreaker, but it's a nice thing to have.

It would be even cooler if you could also slice up objects in the environment, as in Metal Gear Solid Rising.

The demo was fun. I might get it for Christmas, if it's long enough.

The graphics are pretty damn good & I love the decapitations. :D

It's the exact same way in The Force Unleashed 2, except now when they die their heads or limbs arbitrarily pop off.

Not really. If you throw your lightsabers, chances are you are going to decapitate a trooper. Having that happen vs the trooper just flipping backwards is far more satisfying.

While it was fun holding a Storm Trooper in the air and throwing my lightsabers through his chest, most of the demo didn't impress me enough to make this a buy upon release game. Most of the problems I had with the first game were still present in the demo.

Indeed. IMO that's a vast improvement. I wasn't expecting that at all and it was very enjoyable.
