I have mixed feelings on Guy. I really don't like that a character named after Gardner Fox, who was one of the most studious comic writers, is a loudmouth idiot. Guy was one of those nice guy characters that didn't have much of a personality like Green Arrow, so when they gave him one, the easiest one to give him was that of the abrasive *******.

I like him. But not enough to where I'd read a solo book for him though. Unless I heard really good things and depending on the creative team.

I loved it when he squared off against Fernis the Burning. Ya gotta love those guys who aren't aware of just how much power they have. And then when the **** hits the fan, they show up and get serious.

Loved the old Plastic Man cartoon when I was a kid too.

He's awesome, I love his corny jokes and his bad guy background
This guy's story is as goofy as Superman's when it comes to secret identity

Plas is awesome, both the Jack Cole original and the Kyle Baker series. He's always fun.

PLAS ROCKS man!I've always loved dude every since i saw him on superfreinds when they needed some special help with a mouse( dont ask!) loved the Plas comedy hour like Frankie said, but dude is way more than that . one of the few people that bats respect and if bats respects you thats alot. Dont let the jokes fool you! there is every bit one of the greatest heroes underneath those goggles.I always love him but he went thru the roof in his Kid's "Offspring's" one shot book. beneath that plastic smile was a father who wasnt there for his son( mostly cause of the chick didnt want anything to do with him) but was always looking out for him making sure he did right and not screw up like he did( i always thought that what he did as a criminal isnt half as bad as some of the others do, but he gets more crap for it) One of the rare times a hero had a dark moment and it made him better. Plas rocks like pop rocks and coke cola!

one of my favorite DC characters, i love the kyle baker run, I've been meaning to check out the original cole run. I just love how he uses his powers, he's like elongated man...but with an actual personality. All he needs a decent rogues gallery, then i think he would be a higher profile character.

but toy man in the book SUCKS!! especially the one when they made him a child killer( trying to get all dark and stuff.. Thats a villian for Batman not Supes). A freaking dude who makes toys and crap going up against a man who can lift planets... Man! get outta here with that! thats why Supes needs some better rogues.Foes worthy of the man of steel not some fool playing with barbies! Sucks!

I haven't read a lot of stories about the Toyman, but I do think he's one of Superman's more interesting villains. I loved the way he was portrayed in Superman: The Animated Series.

Toy Man is one of the most underrated comic villains of all time. (Like most of Supes' Rogues. Don't even get me started on how people sleep on the Prankster.)

The man doesn't just make toys. The guy is a GD Super Scientist on the level of T.O. Morrow, and Dr. Evo, who happens to have a toy fetish. (And not in a good way.) There's something truly sick about a guy that can create something that looks like this:

Only 50 ft tall, has disintegration rays for eyes, and farts a cloud of cyanide gas.

Ignoring the obvious boos**t attempts at "awesoming" him up by making him a child killer or a pedo, (which was thankfully thrown out and explained away as a screwy robot.) He's actually a pretty damn compelling character on his own. Guys nuts. And you gotta like a guy that's just nuts.

Also ,STAS/JL/JLU Toy Man was awesomesauce.

Don't know much about the comic version, but the animated one was creepy as **** and I dug it.

see thats the thing oh great lord of the underworld i cant ignore that Bull&^%$! a freaking child killing robot! man please! it was an idea that went wrong trying to give supes some updated villian. i know that dude is one of the smartest people in the DCU, but i dont like Supes having nutty villains.Supes deserves villains of the higest caliber like Zod and Mongul( which was stupid as hell to get rid of!) Not 5th dimensional bowler wearing imps and guys with toy fetishes... though i dont see anything wrong with having a toy fetish! hehe

( only i always thought he said "your ass" when i was kid! like Jor- el had a super donkey or something!)

PS Zod in the book hasn't lived up to his greatness on screen!

I loved Toyman in the cartoon where he was fracking terrifying and in some of the early Superman comic books but when they had him kill Cat Grant's son I just loathed the guy

Glad to hear that's been retconned now

Overall i dig him and his crazy inventions.
