He was a pretty bad character. Even before he came back whining about life as the Red Hood, his angst meter was cranked up to 11.
Not really. That being said the post-crisis Jason Todd had like, 3 quite different characterizations in his few years he existed (before his death), you are talking about the Jim Starlin take which was done on purpose to get the people to kill him off.
Anyway, whether you're personally a Jason Todd fan or not, there's nothing wrong with voting for a fictional character to be killed off. I'm sure there are plenty you'd kill off if you could, and I know for damn sure there are plenty Kurosawa would kill off if he could. Like, all of the post-Crisis ones. There's no point in getting up on a high horse about killing off characters, whether by vote or in your own "if I had my way" fantasies.
No, because I know that characters can just leave. Killing off is so lame. Especially since they all come back. It's just shock value without creativity. Jason Todd could've easily decided to quit his job as soon as he's found his mother. But of course, meeting the crowbar is better
DITF is a lame story. Wasted. Stunts like that killed comics. I do not like the Post-Crisis Superman but I wouldn't have killed him off. I would have let the old Earth-1 Superman appear and tell the Byrne-Man to go home.

... what?!? i said i dont like him!
