Oh, so Marvel have exclusive rights to her now then? Cool, I wonder if that's the first time a successful comics character has moved from one universe to another... "Proper" characters, I mean. Not random crap like that Access dude from the '90s...

Well there was Captain Marvel/Shazam.

I never even heard of her....cuz you know, f**k Spawn.

Oh, yes, absolutely. But she IS a Neil Gaiman character and for that reason alone I'm automatically at least a little bit interested.

Speaking of Gaiman:

Coraline Jones

Technically, a character from a novella. But they did a graphic novel a few years ago, so it totally counts...

I've got nothing on this today. **shrugs**

I saw the movie. I was weirdly unimpressed. I think if I was ten years younger I would have loved it but, ehhh... it just didn't hold my attention.

The book's probably more enjoyable...

Eh.

Didn't know there was a comic.

Is there an Anansi Boy's comic? If so, I'd buy the s**t outta that.

Doesn't seem so.

I think there was was talk about a movie or tv series a while back but I don't know what the score is with that these days...

LOL, Quite the candidate for today's entry. I've never understood guy's affinity for this cartoon series. Other than that, I've got nothing. LOL.

Most people started liking it ironically, then it turned out to be kinda awesome I guess. Never watched it.....don't wanna become a Brony or whatever they call themselves. :o

I hear it plays a lot older than it looks. Like Adventure Time.

The whole Ponies thing has completely passed me by, so I've got nothing. BUT, although I'm perfectly happy to give Adventure Time a proper try, I think I'll give this a miss.
Looks a little too rich for my blood...

From Boom's site:

"Trapped in a warzone, Al Stark has an epiphany: “Americans are a superstitious and cowardly lot. I shall become a Muslim”. Al, newly inspired, takes his jihad to New York City, and a showdown with a Freedom Fighter who resembles a certain Caped Crusader…part of THE AVENGEFULS saga, BLEEDING COOL’s Rich Johnston takes us on a raucous ride through politics, fanaticism and the healing power of Hollywood."

Is that supposed to be a parody of sorts?

Huh. Picture seems to have shrunk... eh.

Anyway, I've never read it.
